I have had the carver tfm -35 for about 5 years now. I am pleased with its sound and power. It is very transparent, and looks great too. Highly recommended if still available.

high power, cool styling, very musical for the price

This is a very musical amp and has a lot to offer for the price I paid. It has more than enough power to drive my MMG's especially at low volume levels which was previously more difficult with my Carver Receiver. The highs are warmer and silkier, the midrange is more forward and better defined than before and the lows are cleaner and tighter. Harsh cd's are more tolerable now as the bright grainy sound is replaced with a smoother high end. Strings are more realistic and less "screechy" and Miles' muted trumpet is softer and more realistic than before. Overall, I think this is any excellent buy for used mid-fi equipment at a bargain price. It ranks as my second best buy in equipment after my Magneplanar MMG's.
