The Cyrus Straight-line integrated amp is a newcomer from Cyrus. It is basically the Cyrus IIIi without the remote and phono. Let me just say this is a wonderful amp. Great sound quality, and it looks really cool. |

Strength:
Depth and clarity of sound
Weakness:
Another tape loop Stunning little that in direct comparison with the Cyrus IIIi sounded more controlled and tonally more accurate. Similar Products Used: Cyrus I |

Strength:
Articulate, expressive outgoing midaband, clean and detailed
Weakness:
A little too forward at times. Could be more transparent. No provision for an external power supply. Used with Cyrus XPA power amp , Marantz KIS and AVI Biggatrons. This amplifier is clean, detailed, and transparent enough. Very good 3 dimensional stereo imagery. Placement of instruments is precise enough. Its "forward" and some times "in yar face" presentation may not appeal to all, but I find it very attractive (personal taste). In my current system works only as a preamp. its bigger strength lies on the midband which is very lifelike and detailed (this is obviously a strength of the source). The price is also a great advantage. On the other hand, it could be more transparent with a wider soundstage. This is the only reason that I would like to replace it with something costlier. One big diadvantage is the fact that there is no provision for an external power supply. For the price is an excellent amp. Similar Products Used: Cyrus IIIi |

Strength:
simple, perfect sound for the money
Weakness:
Missing headphone jack, bad new bannana plugs (maybe only in the European Union?), no remote, no phono I bourght the amp as a demo model from a dealer for only about 250 Euro (about 250 US$), with full 1 year gurantee. I tought it would be a good and cheap temporary solution for my damaged Meracus intare 1200 US$ (small german manufacturer). Driving a Linn Keilidh (passive) I was very surprised. I would say I will keep this Amp longer than expected and maybe add two Linn LK85 for aktivation because Similar Products Used: Meracus Intare, ASR Emitter 1+ |
