I was looking to own Jadis gear from my early stages in high end audio.I finnaly got a full Jadis system (Da5-DPL2-JT3 CD) with Gallo Nucleus reference speakers

The system sounded nice, but not thrilling, very few tube sonic artifacts but not emotional, good looking but not great.
Bottom line: Moved back to SState amps
(NOTE: It may be a speaker-amp incompatibility)

I auditioned the Jadis DA-5 amplifier connected to an Aragon Aurum pre-amp, and a Gryphon Tabu CD player. Speakers were Hales Revelation 3. Inter-connects and speaker cables were Goertz.
The DA-5 and the Aurum delivered a sublime performance on just any music we played. Instruments and voices had correct timbre, great separation, transparency, and rhythm. Nuances were also reproduced beautifully.

This combination made the very ordinary Hales shine.

Shortcomings? The only perceptible shortcoming was the absence of deep bass. The absence of deep bass is expected when one tries to drive a pair of 87 dB SPL (1w 1m), 4 ohm Hales with a 40 watter DA-5.

After experiencing the awesome quality of the humble DA-5, I can't wait to audition the 160W JA-200 monoblocks.

My wife and I just purchased a Jadis DA-5, DPL 2 PREAMP,JD3 CD PLAYER and CABASSE PACIFIC 600 SPEAKERS. This system is totally awesome. The key to the full dynamic range of the Jadis DA-5 is you should not have speakers less than 94db sensitivity. How could you ever expect full dynamics with low dynamic speakers. All of the music spectrum is there, there is a slight compression of the high end at very loud volumes as it is possible to clip this amp. I It is only 40 watts. When I can afford it we will run 2 DA-5 into these wonderful speakers. I encourage to listen to these 2 companies together as it is truly an accurate sound and extremely dynamic.
