I wanted more power, so I bought a couple of these amps. I wanted to bridge them to give me 270 wpc for all speakers. Much to my surprise I dont hear a thing different!! For the price paid they are not worth it! NO LEVEL CONTROLS!!! Not controllable with other manufacturers except Kenwood. GOOD DESIGN is about all I give it. |

I couldn't be happier with this amplifier. I'm using it in conjunction with the KRX-1000 (G) reciever to drive two passive subwoofers. The power is more than enough to drive powerful clean bass throughout my listening room. The KMX-1000(G) is a beautiful piece of equipment aesthetically ans sonically. |

Updated Report: Had Amp Hooked Up Improperly. Bridging Works Fine, I Would Still Like To See A Line Level Control, And Remote Controllable, Although It Is Controllable Through A Kenwood Amp. |

I have this bridged, driving two passive 6 ohm THX subs. Bridging an amp cuts the resistance it sees in half. Hooking in parallel also cuts the impedance in half. So, for a pair of 6 ohm woofers, the hookup drops the load to a nominal 3 ohms and bridging the amp cuts things to around 1.5 ohms. And the Amp still is stable! |

Strength:
great bang for the buck
Weakness:
don't know, don't care I'm using two of these bridged to drive a pair of 12 inch Boston acoustic floor subs. My Sony EP9ES decoder tells them what to do and they do it! simple as that. They seem to work just fine and my neighbors hate me! Some day, I'll try driving my mains with them just to check out there musical abillity. Similar Products Used: Adcom 545 |

Strength:
great price
Weakness:
inability to bi-wire For a few hundred bucks...you really can't beat this amp. As far as Japanese products go...this is pretty good. Similar Products Used: none |
