I had 3 of the mitsubishi da-a7dc and now have the a10dc. I use it for my TV computer etc. and I leave it on 24/7. I've left these on literally for over a year, and it doesn't bother them at all. If there's a power failure, the relays work perfect.

I have been lucky enough to own many great amps and I would definitely call this a GREAT amplifier.
there has been many glowing reviews here so I will just say that of all the amplifiers I have owned this is the one I have chosen to never part with .
I had to narrow down my collection to only one containing separates so it came down to Pioneer spec 4 or the Mitsubishi and the Spec is gone and I have no regrets.

I recently sold a M-22 Pioneer with the C-21 pre-amp and the F-26 tuner. I have used a lot of differant things for many years I have had the DA-C7 for about fifteen or so years hooked to a Carver M-400t amp, Sansui 5000a reciever B&K Sony TA series Integra stuff. I hooked this DA-A10DC up to the DA-C7 and wow eat your heart out Carver. It has more power than the Carver so 100 watts? way under-rated in my opinion. I have this running through a pair of EPI model 500s and WOW is all I can say. I sold the Pioneer set-up for 2000 I bought this Mitsubishi set for three hundred total. The sound of the Pioneer was a touch smoother but only 30 watt amp and very weak in the bass. Great for the apartment listener. ENJOY ALL

The case construction makes it difficult to clean if dusty.

The speaker binding posts are a joke

The input level trimpots above the RCA inputs are difficult to turn unless you have long fingernails or a flathead screwdriver

This amp is everything everyone here says it is. I wanted to be selfish and keep my opinion of this amp to myself in hopes that it stays under the radar. While everyone else out there is chasing the Yamaha Marantz Pioneer Sansui sound I will be happy as a clam listening to this Mitsubishi and paying a fraction of the cost for just as much (if not more) sound!

This is a 100W amp - audioreview.com has it wrongly listed as a 75W - that is the DA-A7DC....

After seeing one of these things online, and then reading the reviews, I bought one. I agree with the other reviewers in that this is a wonderful amp in many ways. I use it with a Ming Da tube preamp and a set of 86db sensitivity Maneplanar 1.4s. Even with these ineffeient speakers, the sound is wonderful. Maybe a little lacking in the bass area compared to others I have used, but effortless just the same. My suggestion is in relation to the appearance of these. I love the looks in stock form, but they really respond well to some contemporary industrial design updates. I replaced the led with a centre-mounted blue led, and made a polished wooden faceplate for it. That brought the looks into the nineties, but I have now ditched that idea, and am working on a lucite faceplate edge-lit with blue leds, ala Copland amps. Every person who has seen this thing loves the look, and can't believe that it was originally built in the 70s. When they hear it, they believe that even less! Anyway, I have nothing but praise for these. If you care abouot industrial design as well as great sound, get yourself a serious high-end looking (and sounding) amp for almost nothing, then get to work with your creativity. Enjoy!!!

reguarding the Mitsubishi DA-A10-DC amplifier.. It was left on my doorstep (I run an electronic repair shop) and aside from some minor parts needing replacement, this amplifier KICKS MAJOR ASS!!!.. The sound of it is crystal clear and effortless, and during heavy high-powered music passages driving a hungry pair of 4 ohm floor-standing speakers, this amp simply is one of the best! Never overheating or a hint of distortion and the design is solid and pleasing as well... the thing is build like a cinderblock! I commend Mitsubishi for making such a delightful discreet transistor amplifier and I wish they'd consider re-offering it to the public, because it's quality and build is something rare to find in these days of "toss-a-way" components.

The speaker connection is not ideal. It is not the regular binding post type. It is okay if you are not using terminated speaker cable. I am using AudioQuest Type 4+ bare-wire. It is okay.

Wow, I wish I was around in that era of big sound. This amp really backs up its look with rock solid preformance. I am currently driving 2 custom made stair case speaker enclosures each with a 12" woofer, 6" mid range, and a 3" tweeter. My preamp is a AudioSource PreAmp II which is then fed into a Samson EQ62 that has been painstakely set to acheive suberb clairity throughout the entire audio spectrum. I am very happy with its power, I have yet to push the amp to its limits, I am afraid my speakers and my ears would blow before it gave up. The device is a demon to be reckoned with. I highly recommend it for those looking for that vintage 70's sound.

looks like it could kick your butt

you end up wanting to kick the butt of the person who sold it to you

could very well be the worst amp i''ve ever owned. it had a clear top end but it sorely lacked any bottom. i ran it into EV SP15''s with a Hafler 101 preamp. at low listening levels it was nice and clean and quiet. but don''t try to crank it unless your plenty drunk. the damn thing really hurts. ended up buying a used MC 2100. wow, what a difference. oh by the way, i tried to trade this thing in and the blue book had a price of $65! i paid nearly $600 new in 1975.
