pagato in un mercatino dell'usato 160 euro . posso dire che li vale tutti. utilizzato come secondo impianto alla mia casa in montagna . a un suono molto caldo e dinamico . sembra quasi un valvolare lo sto utilizzando con una coppia di tannoy mercury m3 e le fa andare a ritmo e potenza rapporto prezzo qualità una meraviglia

I HAVE A NIKKO ALPHA 2AND ALPHA 230.THOUGHT IT WAS TIME TO UP GRADE TO SOMETHING NEW. I BOUGHT A YAMAHA HTR-5560 A/V AMP. SOUNDS GREAT WITH DVDS, BUT LACKED THE POWER FOR MY PASSIVE SUBS WHEN I WANTED TO PLAY CDS.THE YAMAHA HAS PREOUTS .I WAS ABLE TO WIRE IN MY NIKKO 2 TO THE YAMAHA.I NOW HAVE THE POWER AND SOUND FOR GREAT 5.1 OR STEREO. MY SPEAKERS ARE SERVO LINER SEVENS.I WROTE THIS FOR PEOPLE WHO MIGHT THINK OF UPGRADING TO NEWER EQUIPMENT REMEMBER YOU MIGHT BE ABLE TO INCORPORATE SOME OF YOUR OLDER EQUIPMENT IF YOU BUY THE RIGHT NEW EQUIPMENT!

Reliability

I have owned a Nikko Alpha 440 for over 20 years now. It has been a super reliable workhorse. In terms of sound, it doesn't measure up to the best today has to offer. However, since this amp has been in service for over 20 years now, I would have to say that it has been a real bargain. Besides, it doesn't sound all *that* bad. It may lack a certain polish, but it sure is a powerhouse.

I¨´ve got a Nikko Poweramplifier Alpha 2. Its big and strong; 120 Watt. It is older than 15 years i think, but is still working very good. I´ve got a subwoofer with 2X10¨ at 8 Ohm and to big lautspeakers at 16 Ohm with 4X8¨ woofer/midrange. I have never heard so good and nice sound + loud as a P.A stereo. It is not easy to make any sound out of this stereo. All this is self build.

I bought this stereo for 500 Norwegian kroner. That is not much for this wonderfull poweramplifier.

I have still not recognised any weaknesses in this poweramp. , even thet I have tryed it at differente stereos. Two English TDL loudspeakers, to homemade big loudspeakers and my own stereo is the stereos i have tryed it on. (+ some small loudspeakers) It is good at low and hid wolumes.

If you get the chance to buy a Nikko poweramplifier Alpha II, you have to buy it. I lowe it and think you too will!

I have tryed NAD 214, 218, Kenwood ?? (this was not strong enough at all). I think my Nikko Alpha 2 sound as good as both 214 and 218.

In the bigginning I usede a Nikko preeamp, but is now using a NAD 917. That is the only oppgrade wich made the the sound in my stereo better.
