A compact, inexpensive amp with basic features and a pleasant sound. Not much guts, but you can hold it in one hand! Nothing wrong with the sound. I've heard lots worse. It does exactly what it claims, which is provide economical remote or additional amplification apart from the main system. I plan on using mine to add ambient sound channels at the rear of my listening room. Similar Products Used: Aragon 8008BB, Parasound HCA800II |

Strength:
Small footprint, low price, toroidal transformer
Weakness:
Poor quality control, ground and transformer hum big time! This model has high potential for the price, but I was not impressed with overall quality. I own four other Parasound products (DAC 1100, PLD 2000, HCA 1203 and 750) and have been pretty much pleased. My Zamp arrived with a "screw loose" which caused very bad humming. Parasound turned around the repair in about a month - not too bad, but the unit still has noticeable hum, all the more obvious when the headphone jack is used. |

I love it,its great.I basicly use it as a headphone amp.I was looking at others but they had certain things i didnt like .I LIKE THE 30w it gives,I JUST THINK ITS BETTER for me.
Weakness:
The only thing is,the volume is in the back not the front. I chose this amp over,CREEK headphone amp and GRADO THE battery thing didnt sit well with me.ITs perfect for MY SYSTEM.Just remember to get good headphones,i have GRADO SR80 WHICH ARE FABULOUS....
