Very nice stuff!!!But, be careful: It has been qualified erroneously as an AMPLIFIER, but instead this is a very complete, graphic equalizer + digital audio processor. A "MUST-GET-IT", either if you're just a only-music listener, or even if you have a fully-featured Home Theater system. Even more, if your receiver lacks of Dolby Surround or Dolby Digital processors.

A lot of features, including the SFP (Sound Field Processor). The instruction manual, however, is a mess!! No further details about the best usage for SFP!! The delay time and Karaoke functions are useful, too, if your a hidden-frustrated Pavarotti, or just a plain Bobby Mc Ferrin fan.

Very nice looking, it goes nicely if all your other audio/video stuff goes with the 'black-box' style. Weak point: Lack of a remote control.

Even though, go get it!

There's been a mistake, the Technics SH-GE90 is NOT AN AMPLIFIER!!!

Has lots of specs, a must-get-it either if you are simply a music enthusiast or a serious audio/video fan. In the case that your A?v Receiver lacks of Dolby Surround or Dolby Digital circuits, it can help.

Look, for the price paid (USD 380 in Peru), you get a graphic equalizer, plus a digital sound processor with delay time control, pre-fixed setting curves, and even Karaoke mixing!
Terrific, both for those frustrated Carusos, or the plain Bobby Mc Ferrin fans.

However, the instruction manual is a mess!! No further explanation about the real operation and features of the SFP (Sound Field Processor).

If you were looking for a full-featured equalizer + sound processor, this I the one for you. Go get it!

A great miss: Lack of a remote control!!

An excellent product with many choices for EQ and SFP.

It is intuitive and easy to use, the insertion in the sound chain is transparent (in flat mode), but it must be switched on also if you do not use it otherwise the sound quality is greatly affected especially in the crusial mid band.

Lack of a good manual on DSP functions. No remote control available.

I bought the SH-GE90 because of its good price in respect of the performances, most to use it as an instrument (I will explain how it can works) and as DSP system for a better recording of LP's and tapes I prepare to use on my car system during travel.
As Hi-end equipment it is abvious a non sense, everything should work at its best without any DSP processor: source, amplifier, speakers, accessories and ambient.
Noneless during the tuning of an entire new system or if you are not fully satisfied with the sound of your system, a device like the SH-GE90 may be useful to check the weakness nd troubles.
Enancing or reducing a certain frequency with the hi Q notch filter permit to check the flatness of response of the system up to the ambient and to understand, if you are a serious DIY, where is better to put your effort and your money in order to improve the performances.
Combining the parametric effects (checked with acccurate listening at +/- 1 dB step!) is useful for Lpad crossover adjustment and for the understanding of cross frequencies problems.
More you can so finely adjust the tonal balance that bass, mis bass, mid, mid treble, and treble band start to have a sense in the relationhip with male / female voice and different instruments permitting to evaluate the effect and refine your hearing capability.
Finally if you need to record a tape (or a CD copy) for your car system, try to enhance the band extremes that are normally sacrificed by the ambient noise and adda some 50msec of delay.
This last trick will give you a sense of space not commonly found in car systems.
Well I forgot the most important note: if you have used it and everithing is working now at the best ... or leave it on in flat response having one more selectable line input in your system ... or put it in the original envelope and enjoy you hi-end listening.
