Strength:

Clean smooth sound. No harshness from CD's.
Everyone who listens statest that it is the best sounding system they have ever heard.

Weakness:

Suck AC power. Ah tubes. Eight 300B's per amp.

Speakers: Apagee Studio Grand's.
Preamp: Classe 50.
D/A: Sonic Frontier

VAC's power the ribbon arrays. Classe 10's, monoblocked
for each sub.

Tried the Classe's on the ribbons. Compared to the VAC's
they had a harsh top end. Harsh sound overall.
NOTE that the Apagee's are very true to their input.

VAC's were expensive, but I will not trade them for
anything else.
I am very sensitive to CD harshness. FINALLY I can listen
and enjoy, now that I have the VAC's.

VAC's come with Golden Dragon tubes. Excellent match. 2 years on the same set of tubes.
Have now installed J&J tubes. They put out a little less power and are a little more delicate. They are beautiful tubes! Thick glass, white base. Wonderful blue glow while running. Cheaper, but expect the Golden Dragon's to last longer.
