Strength:
Just got a used PMA-915R and to my surprise it doesn't sound bright. To me the amp sounds neutral with a good bass, (Mission QX-2) good design, finish without any buttons, functions you don't need, no subsonic filter, personally i don't have bass problems. I wouldn't have an amp with less power than a PMA-915R with 88db speakers that go down to 3.6ohm as the lowest. Good sound and it doesn't have any functions, buttons you don't need, fair amount of power. Weakness:
Can't be used with banana speaker plugs, no subsonic filter (for some it may be a problem, not for me), no preout so you can't connect a subwoofer (not a problem for me) or a more powerfull amp (not a problem for me), not super super clean power as you get with a 2x200watt + amp (im up,downgraded from a 2x300 watt 1khz 8ohm pa amp). Price Paid: 118€

Clarity, Deep bass

None at this price range I use this amp to drive B&W CDM1, I was impressed by this 80W amp. The bass is deep and focus. Truely outstanding midrange. Maybe lots of guys don't think 915R belongs to HiFi catalog. But I think its performence is better than AudioLab8000 and Roksan Capsian.
