The eci-1 is much better than 300i and e211. it has better focus and detail resolution. good stable sound and power even big speaker. This integrated is one of the best i have heard up to date( not include pre-power seperate).

Are you looking for an high-quality, yet value-for-money, amp in the high-end area ? If so, you should check this one out. This amp combines the awarded technology from the Electrocompaniet Power amplifier AW100, and from their high-quality pre-amplifiers in a affordable integrated high-end box. I will try not to be too over-enthusiastic, as these goodies are produced in mye home country, but I simply feel that I am obligated to give some information. The sound is (of course) very much like the sound of the more expensive EC equipment, which is more of tube-sound than solid-state-sound. This means that the sound may be a little darker than other solid-state-gear, but I just love it ! It has also got a very cultured sound, but yet it has power enough for most speaker-systems. I will not push this any longer, just try it out, this is just a hot tip ! I can also recomend you to check out reviews of the EC-products in 'Stereophile' and 'Hi-Fi Choice', among others.

I've listened for years at every kind of amplifier (tube, mosfet,hybrid etc.)but when i bought eci-1 my research is
come to an end. Simply extraordinary.

Great Stereo sound, and a great value for money.

No remote control

I've had this amp for little over 4 years and it still hasn't bored once. If your a starting audiophile this is a great amp to start with. I've been using it with a micromega T-Drive and T-DAC cd player and dynaudio contour 1,3 mkII speakers. Together these componets give a grat stereo image.

Very precise (accurate) mid-range and real good balance through all range

When I bougt this ampflier I couldn't beleive my ears. It was like somebody opened my ears and let music in. I love this ampflier and its worth of 2300 $ (US) that i spent for this guy. I use it with B&W Nautilus 805 speakers and I think it's really good combination. It reproduce very good mid-range and deep, controled bass. On general: sound is very neutral. Specialy good is with reproduction of jazz and blues.
My opinion is: really masterpiece work.
If you'll have a chance to listen him, you'll see that it will turns you on!
