Strength:

Cheap, Resobably powerful despite 25W, sounds pretty good with mission speaker in small rooms, good bass.

Weakness:

Looks, colored sound, not powerful enough for big rooms

An exremely good, affordable Amplifier which sounds very good with Mission 761i speakers. But not well suited for big room.

This is really the first amp an audio enthusiast should begin with.

I love my NAD 302. I have had it in my system paired with the 502 cd player and AR M1's for over 4 years now. It sounds just great, plenty accurate and yet still provides a natural warmth.I listen to it for hours and it faithfully reproduces hours and hours of pleasing sound.

Anyone who is willing to compromise the cosmetics and bells & whistles of any higher priced amps within its range is surely to be well rewarded with a long lasting treasure

This is an okay amp. But I wished I'd spend more for an Audio Innovations Alto, or a second hand Musical Fidelity amp.
It's slightly fuzzy-sounding (warm?), especially at low volumes. But overall, the NAD amp is good value for its money, especially if you listen to vinyl.

My NAD 302 amp has given me two years of listening pleasure. I recently boughtMirage M1090i bipolars and to my amazement it can drive them too without any
difficulty in my 25sqm listening room. Because of NAD´s tonal warmth the overall
perfomance needed new speaker cables and interconnects (Supra PLY 3.4 biwiring
and TaraLabs prism22). After those changes I have been very satisfied with my
system.

Any experience with NAD 312 and 4 ohm speakers (and lower)?
Anyone know how would it work with KEF Q55?

I heard that there is clipping when only at 10 o'clock (with kef q15).

please e-mail me, it's urgent. (dbauernf@yahoo.com)

Despite its 25watts it goes plenty loud enough with sensitive speakers above 87db.Some describe as harsh but to me it just has that bit of transistor dryness or coolness to the overall sound.
I have been using this amp for 3years and found it adequate in most aspects.

My first amp was 310, but I wanted more power so I got 302.And boy, this amp is powerful. I used it with Infinity speakers and
Philips Cd player.
The high frequency sound reproduction is excellent and so is the bass.
It plays great with all types of music.
Great amp for money.

If you are upgrading from a cheap receiver to a NAD 302, you won't be disappointed. The 302 will sound quicker, warmer, cleaner, and will add more depth to your speakers. If you are a beginning audiophile, and you want
a cheap amp, the 302 is the way to go. It has pre-outs, so you can later add a separate amp, and use the 302 as a preamp.

The NAD 302 integrated amp delivers 25wpc. It was replaced last year by the 312, which sounds, to my ears, exactly the same. Since the 302 is discontinued, I got it with full warranty for $200.
This amp follows the NAD no-frills philosophy: no cool features, just good sound. It has inputs for phono, cd, tape 1 and 2, and video. Treble and bass controls with tone defeat, balance, and a decent headphone input.

The NAD 302/312 is still *the* beginner's amp of choice, and with good reason: it's cheap and it sounds great. The 25W is very conservative--it's plenty loud through my Camber speakers at 10 o'clock. Well-defined but not booming bass. Not overly bright in the treble.

I listen to rock for hours every day, and this amp does it justice. I actually liked the sound better than the much more powerful NAD 314. Go figure.
