Strength:

Very good value, easy load to drive, preamp output drives almost anything, plenty of power with 3.5 dB dynamic headroom

Weakness:

would like two sets of switched speaker outputs (minor) and a mono/stereo switch (also minor)

A very smooth, natural unit. Accurate instrumental and vocal timbre. High damping factor. I have an active biamped system (electronic crossover) so I had to have an amp with pre out and a main in jacks. The preamp had to drive my Paradigm X-30 crossover (a very difficult load to drive) and the amp had to drive my B&W 602.2's above 80 Hz. It scored in both areas. The amp was smooth, natural, and subtle, and the preamp seemed able to drive the X-over with ease. My Sony XA1ES CD player has a weakly designed output stage and is very load and cable sensitive. It was quite happy driving into the C350's inputs.

Seems much more powerful than its 60 W/ch rating owing to the 3.5 dB dynamic headroom and its ability to drive low impedance loads. Definitely a bargain. I have had no problems with the remote.

Most Everything else.

This unit is a stepping stone either OUT of entry-level hifi
or onto anything better in short order. I just hope that after they've got you by the NADS you don't too quickly turn back to the sony shelf system; given the anticipated lack of perceived value and invisible improvement heretofore a pre-supposed upon joining the hi-fi separates game. The unit can be characterised as: frequency bound (rolled), bloated, uncontrolled, grainy and sepia toned.
This non-literal translation of input is enough to turn my stomach immediately (HI, Onkyo!) but add the texturing and now I can be nothing but non-plussed. Go to the competitors pages and see the thousands of NAD converts. I'll pass.
Note: Might I suspect given the bloated reviews, that more than 70 percent here are composed by the reseller rather than honest owners. NAD is bound to dissapoint all but the near-deaf. Now watch as the irate resellers take their revenge!

Non-constructive and provacative reviews such as aaron's are a waste of space on this review board. No, I'm not a reseller, just an owner of a C350 with full knowledge of what the C350 is and is not. Take any product and compare it against products costing 2 - 3 times more and ultimately anyone can point out the flaws in the lesser priced product. Sure, the C350 is a compromise at this price point, but does offer an alternative sound to mass market recievers. It is warmer, more dynamic (@60wpc), and generally more musical in comparison. If I spent 600$ to 1500$ on a Creek, Musical Fidelity, or Rega, I would certainly expect an improvement over the NAD. For those who don't care to spend more, or can't afford to spend more, the NAD C350 is worth checking out (@ ~300$). The Cambridge A500 may also be a good choice in this price range, although I have not listened to it.

Strength:

A huge amount of power. It's realy amazing!! The sound is beautifull!!

Weakness:

Didn't find a real weakness.

The sound of this integrated amplifier is realy amazing. When I listen to nice classical pieces or pumping dance, t handels it without a problem. I never have to ajust the tone levels. The sound is very transperant and I realy like that.

When you compare this amplifier with some high quality sony, yamaha or Kenwood amplifiers, you realy can hear that this NAD C350 has so much more power. And he has "only" 60 watt RMS power.

Strength:

Conservatively rated at 60 wpc, warm, clear and natural sound, very good dynamics with surprising bass slam, excellent value

Weakness:

None come to mind given the price of this unit, would like to be able to see the volume indicator level though

I bought the C350 for a secondary system (NAD C521 and B&W 601 S2) that is used when I want to listen to a CD or two without going through the ritual warm up period with my larger, and much more expensive system.

I compared the C350 to the C370, and a NAD reciever (35wpc), not sure what the model was. The NAD reciever sounded a bit brighter and more strained sounding then either the C350 or C370 on the small bookshelf speakers I was auditioning. I liked the idea of a tuner and A/B speaker switches, but it was obvious that the C350 and C370 were noticeably better sounding units. I went back and fourth between the C350 and C370. On first impression they sound almost identical. However, the C370 sounds a bit more full, and walks a tighter bass line on complex material. It also sounded a little thicker then the C350. The C350 to my ears sounded a bit more crisp, and not quite as dark. For the speakers I was looking at I didn't need the C370's extra power, and in the interest of staying within my budget decided to go with the C350.

Overall the C350 is an over achiever. Warm, clear, grainless, and with surprisingly good dynamics, especially bass slam. The C350 is conservatively rated at 60 wpc, and will easily play large scale orchestral works without congestion, or loosing its composure.

While the C350 is an excellent performer, compared to more expensive amplification it isn't as resolving or transparent, nor does it have a huge multilayered soundstage, or bottomless bass or soaring highs.

I would highly recommend the C350 to anyone looking to put together a nice sounding system on a budget. The NAD C521 complements the C350 very well, and the small B&Ws also sound nice (DM303, 601 S2, 602 S2)with this unit.

Just about everything

Weakness:

None at the price

NAD build fantastic amps. That's about it really! I've experienced no problems with their bass, my C350 just gives me what's there on the disc. The marantz I heard in comparison was just to bright, while the Arcam sounded very warm. Even thought about getting the C370, but for my system to 350 is just fine!

Strength:

Power, control, design, bass and midrange. Separated pre- and effectamplifier. Price.

Weakness:

Remote.

I bought this because my old Sansui AU-3900 started to act up weird. I have a pair of Dali 5005 loudspeakers, and my local dealer recommended me the NAD C350 amplifier. There is an other model called C320 that looks exactly the same, so I compared these two models in the store (350 costed $100 more). And there was a clear difference. C350 sounded less harsh in the highs and performed a magic three dimensional playback on some recordings. I simply couldn't buy 320 after listening to 350.

When I came home and installed it my first reaction was how great C350 plays acoustic music, live our studio - doesn't matter, as long as it is acoustic. I'm a big fan of Dire Straits, and my recordings got a whole new life. Great! Voices, espacially male voices got much more realistic.

The pre- and effectamplifier in C350 are totally separated from each other, so it is easy to upgrade with a new effectamplifier if you need more power. It has an extra pre-output to use with a sub or an extra amplifier for biwiring.

The only bad thing about this amplifier is the remote. It needs to be directed exactly to the amp, otherwise it won't work.

I'd like to recommend this amp to anyone with a pair of speakers and a cd in the mid-class.

It really knows how to play music!

I've had integrated amp for about 6 months and I'm very happy with it. Nice warm sound with plenty of power. I live in an apartment and I never had to turn up passed 10 o'clock position for my listening level. Nice clean exterior design.
