Strength:
Powerful yet with control, transparent, clear highs, well balanced from top to bottom, xlr input
Weakness:
Heavy at 40 kg you have to be careful where you place the beast and watch your back when you carry the amp on your own. Probably not as tonally rich as pure class A amps (Jungson) I am very pleased with this amplifier. I have had the pleasure of listening to known and unknown brands in the past and to my ears, this is the best balanced amplifier I've ever heard. Let me give you an idea of what the other amps that I used to own and listen to sounds like: Arcam A85, nice clean sound but lacks tonal colours and weak bass. Jungson pre/power Class A - musically satisfying with rich tonal colours but lack transparency during complex musical passages and has a broad and rather shallow sound stage. Primare A30 - thin sounding and almost ear piercing when loud, anlytical and very clear sound. Other than the Jungson combination, none of the other two tickled my dynaudio contour 1.3se drivers like the Consonance. Of the four amplifiers that I have owned, it is the Consonance amp that gave the most musical, natural and satisfying sound.

Strength:
Extremely transparent, high output amp that doesn't sound ham-fisted or over-bearing, capable of extreme delicacy alongside genuine "punch" and control when required. Superb build quality, inside & out.
Weakness:
Styling might not be to everyone's taste.
It's easy to understand why consumers tend to avoid lesser known audio brands. High end audio equipment is expensive & no-one wants to spend a packet on gear that doesn't live up to review hype, so it seems safer to stick with the names you "know" than to take a chance on relative newcomers, like the Consonance brand made by Opera Audio of Beijing.
