Have been through half a dozen amplifiers in 25 odd years (solid state and tube), this is the first Chinese product I have owned. This is also my 'biggest and baddest' amp so to say. It is biased into class A up to 60 watts (30+30) and runs fairly warm, but not hot. My source is an Ayon cd tube player, and speakers are the Blumenhofer Big fun 17 (leftover from my old tube set up). I have the Mark 2 model and it's an year old.
There is little to complain about this amp, it runs flawlessly and will I guess drive anything.. Its not an aggressive amp at all, the sound is very refined and controlled, the bass remains dry and taught, mid range is open sounding and the high frequencies are probably limited by the speakers and my ageing ears. If you can get past the bulk (and weight) in a domestic setting this is a fabulous all-rounder for jazz, western classical and Indian classical music, which is what I mostly listen to. Lots of life for latin dance and reggae too. I might eventually get a tube preamp to go with it, but the existing integrated's preamp is pretty good (I have done a few comparisons). I would describe this as a high quality super-integrated for those who can otherwise only buy a mid level integrated from the big names (Accuphase etc).
