This is a very competent tube amp which responds well to tube upgrades. It produces plenty of power to drive speakers very well, and has fine build quality. Bass is deep, with lovely mids and sweet highs. Overall, a very satisfying mid to hi-end sound for sensible money. Highly recommended, especially if you can pick up a good second hand example. |

Bought this amp recently from Audio Emotion in Scotland, based mainly on a recommendation form Gary. He was not wrong. It has sound quality to match its stunning appearance. Have tried with Vienna Acoustics, Totem Arros and Taga Platinum and each produced excellent music due to th Xindak. Dynamic, fluid, msical, everyting you would want in an amp, irrespective of whether it is Solid State or Valve based. My own love for saxophone or guitar based jazz is an ideal forum for the Xindak to show just what it can do. As far as I know this sells new for around £1900. I would think you would need to at least double that outlay to improve on this standard of performance. Have never heard an amp better suited to Ben Webster or Gerry Mulligan. Thoroughly recommended. |
