Strength:

clean sound, doesnt add anything to music.

Weakness:

none

got the rl-11 used 2 yrs. ago with the above equip. except for the logans which i all ready had. i had been running the logans with nad2600 amp and nad1130 preamp which sounded good, when i hooked up the accurus and aragon/adcom (bi-amped to the logans) the sound went to fantastic!!! i'm now looking for a great cd player.

Strength:

Extremely well built, plenty of inputs, 2 preamp outputs, remote

Weakness:

No input selector on remote

This does everything a well-made preamp should do, and nothing it shouldn't. In a double-blind listening test, I doubt it would be distinguishable from a Pass or a Levinson, nor should it be, unless there are design flaws in those preamps.

There is NO reason you should ever pay any more for a preamp, unless you are looking for 5-6 channel capability.
