I auditioned many preamps in my price range. Kevin at Upscale Audio (www.upscaleaudio.com) said that given my budget, I should buy this unit hands down. And what a great recommendation that was.

You know, that this unit is made by the folks at Cary Audio. The build quality is great. And the sound is so pure. And, I have a very high quality single ended tubed preamp with oil caps and a remote for under $1300.

Sure you can find a better sound, but be prepared to shell out $2k, $3k, $4k. Do you know how many CDs or albums you can buy with that extra $2k savings? Try 133!

Check it out. You won't be disapointed... unless you want something that is silver, glitzy and sexy!

Midrange, top & bottom extension, price, flexibility, simple

?? Have to really reach. Might not be astetically pleasing to some.

I really love this little guy. I was never really happy with my system until I put this in the signal path. All I can say is that it really made my system sing. I havn't compared this to a lot of other tube pre amps but I don't really have any desire to change it. That is saying a lot since I'm usually never completely happy with equipment. Overall I would have to say this is my best buy. Highly recommended.
