This amplifier sounds great. Inputs: Two balanced and two unbalanced with one tape loop. Outputs: One balanced and one unbalanced. the input buttons are a little strange. Instead of naming the sources they have symbols; comet, star, planet, and moon with a reel to reel symbol ofr the tape loop. No phono stage. It has an internal RFI filter that does a very good job of quieting noisey mains line. Remote control is simple or can be controlled by remote from other components. Build quality is excellent. The sound is so good you only have to turn up the volume until it sonds like the recording artist is in your house playing just for you. 150 watts rms into 8 ohms, 300 wats rms into 4 ohms. With the MP upgrade the bass is supposed to be somewhat improved, not that it really needs it. The tonal balnce is excellent and the nuances in the music are profound. This is the sort of preamp that will let you know just how good (or bad) your recordings really are. Soundstage is wide and even, noise floor is dead quiet at normal listening levels and even at high volume this preamp is unruffled.
