Hello there! greetings from Melbourne.

I had the pleasure of aquainting myself with the new ET3 preamp. Hooked it up in place of my trusted Act2 just to compare the level of authority, and what c-j puts out there claims to be reference. I had the ET3 running for about two weeks. From the start it doesn't sound that great, needs about half an hour warm up, and then things start to blossom.

The overall sound is defintely not reference standard compared to the ACT2 or ART preamps, but everything else it does wonderfully with ease. Soundstage, tonal balance, timbre, smoothness, refinement and accuracy to a certain degree found in more expensive makes, remote controlled (no balance control) good number of inputs, and all put together a very well done job! It certanly makes the music shine through as what should a good preamp do, and is capable of being listened to for endless hours without any fatigue whatsoever, as all c-j preamps are known for. It is worth the spend and will not break your bank account.

Overall value 5 out of 5 given the price range, and features. Nice preamp to have in any system, works very well with my Quad ESL 2905's and c-j MV60se power amp. Very easy to lsiten to and love the sound.
Good job c-j with this one!
