Strength:
Very customizible, tons of options, great and clear sound
Weakness:
Initial setup can be a little complicated After switching a few receivers, I decided to upgrade to separates. First I got ATI 1506 amp and used those receivers as a preamp, then I got Classe SSP-25. Classe had a very nice and clean sound, way better than any receiver I had previously. But Analog bypass mode was DOA and DTS had some problems locking on signal, and as result when i played DTS DVD, I had sound "pop" and dissappear for a few seconds once in a while. I exhanged the unit for Casa Nova (with DD, DTS, video switching board and analog input board), and now I'm completely happy. Everything works perfectly, sound is even better than SSP-25. It takes a little time to setup, but it's worth it. You can customize every option, input and output. I simply love this unit. And it looks very cool too :) I would recommend to download the unit's manual off the thetadigital.com web site (it's in PDF format) and read it, while you waiting for your unit to arrive. It will save you quite some time later. Similar Products Used: H/K AVR7000, Denon-4800, Classe SSP-25THX |
