I managed to purchase the Vincent SA-T1 brand new in box for AUS$800. At that price it is a bargain, at RRP, less so. I currently own 3 other exceptional Pre-Amps and have heard many more. The little Vincent can't compete with my other 3 Pre's but that's understandable as they are more expensive. It falls down against higher quality pre's in having lesser soundstage, weight, dynamics and transparency. It has a a light delicate almost pretty treble, but lacks the weight of higher end Pre's, midrange is good for the money, when used in a hgh-end system complex bass passages can be a little strained. I am currently using the SA-T1 in my kitchen system and it does a fine job with some middle range equipment.

Have had this in my system a few days now. Amp is SS Rotel RB 1080 and the SA-T1 is replacing a Rotel RC-1090 preamp.
