    Strength:

build quallity,smoothness,v-strong, fast start up, instant stopping, anti skipping tone arm. best on the market for people with musical talent.

    Weakness:

not expensive enough for hi-fi snobs, it doesnt say REGA

The best deck on the market if you want to create music, used by the top DJ'S for the last 20 years.
If you want to be the creater of music, e,g scratching and remixing, you cant beet these decks. hi-fi snobs may be critical, but thats because they have lots of money and no musical talent (e.g listening rather than creating).
Technics are soon to bring out the 1210mk3, im looking forward to it.
P.S, HI-FI SNOBS,MOST OF TECHNICS PRODUCTS ARE LOW QUALLITY,BUT THIS DECK IS TOP CLASS! IF IT WASNT WHY WOULD IT BE INDUSTRY STANDARD? TRY STICKING A REGA STICKER ON THE TECHNICS BRAND, IT MAKES THE SOUND QUALLITY A WHOLE LOT BETTER!

The "DJ Bone" post is irrelevant and the rating should not influence potential buyers of this product. In fact, I am suprised that the webmaster allows posts like this to offset the ratings of a good product that should be on the Hall of Fame - why it is not is also a mystery to me - the rating has been calculated to be over the required 4.25; maybe there is just a bias against equipment that is not made for the audiophile (ie. the Michell Gyrodec that stands as the only TT on the HOF).
Use discretion when looking for components through their ratings and treatment by this site; I think that it is truly biased. OTH, there are some useful reviews posted by people who have actually used this product. As for me, I find this to be a good TT for the audio enthusiast, in particular the DJ. Furthermore, it is a good value and I highly recommend it as the best you can do for the money. Cheers

    CE can you C?

If you look, the Gyro can't affected as it is impossible to post any further reviews. If you are referring to the other review page, these reviews aren't even calculated by AR and are mainly meant to bring attention to the problems with the Gyro's page. If you think that you are making up for a low rating by posting a low rating for another product, you are a little short on logic. If you really want to defend "the superb Gyro," why not post a review on the other page. I find it hard to believe you have any knowledge at all about this product (the MKII) and I doubt you have even been in the same room with a Gyro. I certainly hope that your pointless ratings are seen as what they are. You should heed the webmaster's caution as to the purpose of this site - to review products. Cheers

The MKII may make a fine DJ table but in a strictly audio sense, a new MMF for $250 betters the MKII for sonic enjoyment. 5 star for MKII for commercial use, 1 for the audiophiles.

Can it be possible, in this fickle world of audio products, for one singleitem to be unequivocably perfect? Damn straight it can! While maybe not
the bea's knees for high-end vinyl purists, these puppies prove that God is
indeed a DJ and has handed them down from the heavens. Abuse the hell out of them, try as you might to destroy them and they will laugh in your face. Drop
the weight back a bit and use them as a reference system and they're equally
superior. How can something be this good? I snagged a pair for $600 from a
silly man who bought them to impress his friends, grew tired of them and
decided to move onto a new fad -- and I bless his stupid heart everytime I fire
    them up.

I'm sorry to say that I don't know where CE is coming from. These certainly don't deserve one star. I hope that the "Audiophile" who said they were a "rip off" speaks up and gives some reasoning for his/her dislike of what I consider to be the only record player you ever need to get.

I DJ gigs, parties ect... using two of the MKII's since 1990 and these things kick ass. I recommend them to anyone just starting out or is the hard core player as I am. Never had a problem with them. Just normal maintance and they
will last forever. I give Technics 2 Thumbs up for quality and workmanship.
The Technics start at around 400.00, and be careful of imatations. Later!!!
