    Strength:

Transparent,High Resoloution,Percise Imaging,Sharply Defined Image Outlines,Revealing, without sounding harsh and analytical.

    Weakness:

    Unsheilded,System Matching is EXTREMELY important

Overview: Buy this cable if your system has good synergy and you need more resolution across the board.
Do not buy this cable if your system sounds bright, forward or analytical. (or any combination of those.) The KCAG is a silver conductor Unshileded Cable availabile with several types of WBT termination. You must try this cable for its transparency, resolution, and retreival of fine detail.
Note: This cable had an extended break-in period of over 350 hours. I strongly urge you to try out a broken-in pair of this cable. Also there are no comparisons to other cables below because none were in the ballpark with the KCAG other than the Siltech ST-18 G3.

After Owning two 0.5m pairs this cable for little over 1 year I feel ready to write a review about them. There isn't much to say other than I have had gread success using this cable with Conrad-Johnson equipment both tubed and solid state, and it works wonderfully well on most of the other high resolution equipment I own. I don't reccommend that you use this cable unless you have a very good system, or one that has very good synergy, because this cable tends to bring most flaws to the surface in an unforgiving manner. For the money very few other cables come close to the resolution, others will give you a "musical" presentation(Siltech, be wary of the siltech's somewhat forward presentation). But if you crave accuracy look no further, this cable delivers with no artifical sounding addatives that detract from the music. None of the other cables sound as refined as the KCAG (not even the Siltech). The KCAG gets out of the way of the music, and you can also use all of those other audio cliches to describe its sound also just fill them in right here________________________________. $440 a meter may sound expensive but you get what you pay for. This cable removes all restraints from great systems, and makes good systems shine too. All musical tates are well served, from classical to alternative rock, from Veruca Salt to Patrcia Barber, it works wonders. Explosions, and dialouge sound good too through this silver wonder. You should audition this cable today!

Check these cables out, they are worth my money. I use KCAG from D/A to pre and another one with XLR connectors from pre to amp, also AGDL digital cable. they sound great, detailed and transparent, especially instruments location are very well placed. They cost about 400 us$ for 1 meter pair, and 200$ per 1 meter for digital.

Very transparent cable, It brings out more details in my system . My soundstage grew larger and focused everything inside of it. It just images information superbly (more 3D ) . KCAG is one of my more favoriteable interconnects so-much that I now have four pairs. I have tried KIMBERS PBJ In the past and dident care for them at all , KCAG is A totaly different cable ,A little expensive but very addictive.

    Strength:

    Supreme clarity, neutral balance, detail.

    A very different sound.

    WBT!

Overall effect in an appropriate system.

    Weakness:

Could be covered, but it would ruin the silver appeal.

I use it between Rotel RCD 991 CD player and Musical Fidelity X-A1 amplifier, with Jamo Concert 8 speakers and Kimber Kable 8TC speaker cable, in a room 4m x 6m.

The overall effect in my system is very perfectionist, but never irritating. A reasonable amount of space and headroom.

    Perfect clean sound.

    Strength:

fast, clean, detailed and very quiet back ground

    Weakness:

A little pricey but that's nothing campared to my amp!

These cables definetly woke up the higher end of the sonic spectrum but compared to my custom made cables they lost a little bass depth and definition. This isn't really a fair comparison, but that is what I heard. Still, with the KCAG the bass is very good. I still use PBJ for my video set up because it's cheap and sounds better than anything else near the price. But for my He-man rig the KCAG works very well! It's marginally better than Silver Streak. In all honesty, unless you're a audiophile freak with the bucks the spare, go with the Streak. Otherwise KCAG may not be a bad investment. I'm still curious to compare it to the Select series.

To sum up, I highly recommend these cables and haven't had any problems with them sonically.

    Strength:

    Purist design

    Weakness:

    Require good system match

I must mention that all the reviews below are really accurate and insightful, particularly Vincent from Virginia who I think hit it perfect.

If you are not a seasoned audiophile, you probably won't go crazy for this cable. However, if you have a seasoned ear, this cable may just make you cry, it is that good. A lot of cables are designed and intended for detail retrieval and low detail resolution. They all cost a lot ($500 to $800), the KCAG at half meter is about $230 and it is as good as the MIT shotgun. A lot of the high end cables are described by many as dynamic, smooth, neutral, accurate, great image and soundstage, etc. I would describe the KCAG as perfectly balanced. It is as close to a purist design as one can be.

It is not the right cable for everyone, especially if your gear are not quite perfectly matched. (As most audiophiles know, expensive components that are not properly matched may sometime sound worst than mid end components that are well matched) However, if you feel good about the way your system sound and are just looking for that special icing on the cake ... definitely do give the KCAG a test drive.

    Strength:

Clear, great soundstage and placement of sounds

    Weakness:

May be too bright for some systems

This is used between my pre-amp and my power amp. THe sound is clear, a little bit bright, with excellent sound stage, and placement of instruments, voices etc. A really captivating sound.
