Strength:
Musicality, detail, natural sound, balance top to bottom, good value
Weakness:
Revealing of system flaws and deficits I am particularly fond of these cables not only because of their music, but because they were one of the few that worked acceptably in my system (Rega Planet>Purist Audio Aqueous IC>Cary SLP 74 preamp>Unknown IC>Cary SLA 70B sig. amp>AP Oval 9>Ruark Talisman II). I have heard the AP O9 in several systems and they always sounded very nice. Similar Products Used: Tara master gen (?), several AQ, Kimber monocle, Discovery, Naim, Purist Audio Design Aqueous and Elementa (both are nice cables), Goertz M1, JPS superconductor (?) , several others, its been a few months and I cannot remember much from the tedious, never-ending showdown. |

Nuetrality.... extension... depth.... flexibility... price!!!.... inner detail....
Weakness:
... I'm thinking.... This cable makes me giddy. How can it sound so 'right' and be so inexpensive? Is it possible that ALL of the other wire is just OVER PRICED??? Similar Products Used: Millersound, JPS Labs superconductor+, Kimber 8TC, AQ Midnight, etc.... |

Strength:
bang for the buck, neutrality, great all around performing copper cable
Weakness:
none at this price level A note to the previous reviewer: Did you allow sufficient break-in time?? I found the cable unrefined like you did for the first 50 hours or so of break-in. After about 150 hours, I found the cable to be faultless in my system. A preference for silver cables may not be suitable for those of us with non-tube electronics. These cables blew away the MIT Terminator 2s they replaced. They are more accurate and detailed in the highs and tighter without being either lean or punchy in the mids and lows. A very nice all around performer in copper with phenomenal bang for the buck (buy from Oliver at Delve Audio). My system: Similar Products Used: MIT Terminator 2 |

I have been trying to find a way to describe these cables to myself since I hooked them up, and have finally realized a way to express my thought...Its like the movie "The Matrix" (sorry I hate to use this analogy, but...) be careful which pill you swallow. You just might find the truth. Similar Products Used: Transparent Reference Line, Monster cheap line, a few inbetween |

Strength:
Clarity; natural/neutral presentation. Soundstaging.
Weakness:
None yet. I used to be a speaker cable skeptic. However, when the time came to get longer runs of cable for a new room, I decided to audition several brands and see for myself. The differences between the runs of Analysis One and other bigger name brands were not subtle. Compared to the Oval 9s, the others seemed harsh, thin, and "hi-fi"--the 9s do wonderful things with voices; bass control is also far better. It's just more natural. I liken the difference to a significant amplifier upgrade, but for a much lower price (I wound up buying 20' runs for $400.) As an added benefit, the cables are fairly flat and unobtrusive. Great value--great product--great recommendation from Celestial Sound. Similar Products Used: Transparent, Tara |

Strength:
Realism, construction, outstanding value
Weakness:
Addictive; T1 spades are great but big At the beginning of the listening, i was ready for another deception. Every speaker cables i have tried before were disapointing in some aspects of their performance. Similar Products Used: transparent music wave plus, dh labs t14, taralabs phase II and III, prisma 10, linn, naim, totem, cardas, mit t2, profile, proflex 10, monster powerline 2+, Van den Hull (cs122 hybrid and higher model) and few others |

build quality I heard and read all the raves here about these cables, so I decided to demo them, even though they are less expensive than what I already have, I know price doesn't equal performance in high end audio, so, I figured what the heck. I demoed the Bi-Oval 9 cables, comparing them against my current cables, a single run of Kimber Monocle XL. Keep in mind my speakers are meant to be biwired. I really tried to like the AP cables, but in my system, they were clearly a step backward in terms of tranparency, resolution, tone, harmonics, etc.......the subtlest vocal inflections and micro details were lost going to the BiOval 9. The "life" seemed to be sucked right out of the music, and it was! It was like I put a thick blanket over the speakers.......the highend went completely away and was laid back (I notice other reviewers saying it removed some emi/rfi hash so the top end sounded cleaner.....yeah, that, and a whole bunch of music got stripped away with it!, no thanks) The Kimber's retail at around $1100 for a 10ft run.....although I think I spent around $850 discounted from a dealer. I'm not sure of the retail on the AP nines.....but even in the Bioval form, they are no match for the single run Kimbers. If you can cough up an extra couple hundred bucks...do yourself a favor and listen to the Kimber Monocle XL. Similar Products Used: Kimber Monocle XL, Dunlavy Audio speaker cables, |

Strength:
neutrality, robust bass, definition of detail
Weakness:
none thus far Previous reviewers are correct that the cables require a long break-in time; in fact, after 3+ months I'm finding that the presentation is still improving. Similar Products Used: Tara Labs RSC Reference |

Strength:
Detail, liquid highs, decay, depth and width of soundstage and overall musicality.
Weakness:
None. I love these cables and consider them a steal for the price. I bought a 12ft. pair used on-line for $140. They were already burned in and I noticed the improvement immediately. The Kimber 4TC's that they replaced are good cables in themselves, but the Analysis Plus cables were very noticeably better. Not much more I need to say, I recommend these cables without reservation.
