Despite the fact that this cable is meant for microphones, many audio/video enthusiasts continue to use it. Why? At $20 a meter pair the sound quality rivals some of AudioQuest's lower models. Then again, a lot of people hate AudioQuest but that's beside the point . I tested it against some similarly priced ones (Monster, Audio Influx, AV Tech, and other obscure Japanese brands) and it came out on top. Soldering quality is so so but better than most Monsters. As for the sound quality, it's much clearer in the middle to high ranges than the others. Perhaps too bright for those used to higher priced cables. On the other hand, it practically cuts the lower frequencies in half. This is good for systems with excessive bass but never ever use it to connect your subwoofer (my biggest mistake). Also if you like rock or rap, you might as well stick with Monster Cables. This wire can only be obtained through Markertek from the net. It comes with different colored jackets (you specify the combination) and many different connectors. I give it 4 stars for the value. |

Wow, I just rewired my entire system with these and the results are fantastic! Yes, they are slightly soft in the bass but other than that they wipe out both the Monster, Supex, and Audioquest cables I had been using. Build quality is superb. This was important to me as I paid big $$ for Audioquest cables and the connectors broke almost immediately. |
