Strength:
Good Bass, nice Mid and High, good looking cables.
Weakness:
don't find it in my system. I bought 2 pairs of the Harmonic Tech Truthlink on Audiogon for my Karaoke Amp, they sound beautifull with a solid bass...I had used the Prosilkway 1 or 2 before, the Truthlink seems giving better bass, would prefer them over the Prosilkway 1 or 2. |

Strength:
Overal build, and sonic qualities. Nothing beats the burnished glow of copper!
Weakness:
None really; the price is quite reasonable, even at the retail level Having used this cable with a variety of integrated amps; both SS and Tubed, I can attest to it's positive sonic qualities: there is a feeling that no part of the sonic spectrum really stands out, as the balance is quite even. The Truth links remind me somewhat of my Cardas twinlinks in that there is a smoothness, richness, and warmth present, although the Truths are a fair bit more resolved, to the point that puts them in a higher legue.

some lost of dynamics and not very transparent This cable doens't work in my system. When I played acoustic guitar music, they all sounded the same! I will keep it for matching to taste. Similar Products Used: Audioquest Lapis |

Strength:
Does not change too much in the sound, neutral, transparent, great bass and high frequences, natural vocals
Weakness:
a bit stiff Great for money. Gives even, great balanced sound with warm, a bit roundy bass and huge number of details. Neutral midrange, not too bright in highs. Very good copper interconnect, friendly termination. Similar Products Used: Audioquest Coral, Monitor Black and White 1600 |

none. nice build quality. imparts a nice sense of body to the sound. very natural, easy to listen with. after the bloated image of the nordost blue heaven, these brought the bodies back to the performers. great all-around cable. this is the xlr 1m. Detail
Weakness:
Locking rcas are pain in the... ear. Don't tighten them. 0.6-0.75 m length would have been nice. Lots of detail. Much more detail than with Cardas Golden Cross. Smooth, yes, but treble gains neutrality with use. Similar Products Used: Van den Hul The First, Straight Wire Encore II, Cardas Golden Cross. |

Strength:
Very balanced from top to bottom, silky smooth, hugh soundstage, datailed, and very open.
Weakness:
none I moved my Synergistic Research Kaleidoscope Phase 1 from my amp to preamp to the preout on my receiver to the preamp and replaced it with the Truthlink. I was amazed, the sound from the Truthlink was so much better. The sound had more detail and air without being harsh. The soundstage is huge, the sound just flows with such ease with no restriction. I now have tighter, quicker, and more accurate bass response. The mids are open, well balanced and silky smooth while the highs are open and extended without being harsh. I'm considering replacing my other interconnects with the Truthlink. I'm also using a set of Nordost Blue Heavens interconnects which I thought were the best but I now have a new favorite. Very well built, terminations whether RCA or XLR are both excellent quality. Strength:
Excellent midrange. Increased bass response. Very wide soundstage.
Weakness:
Loose bass. Very poor high frequency reproduction. Extremely poor or should I say non-existent customer service. Although customer service is terrible, my above rating applies only to the musicallity or lack of in the cables. Having only a $30 interconnect, I was hoping for a sound improvement with a new interconnect. The Truth-Link somewhat accomplished this but the cable was more a disappointment than a blessing. The high frequencies, although quite smooth and free of any graininess, is fairly subdued. It seems that the cymbals are more in the background than usual. High notes on the piano sound more like a dull thump. Fortunately my Arcam integrated amp has treble control. Although most audiophiles, including myself at one time, say that tone controls are useless, increasing the treble is an absolute must if the Truth-Link is used. By increasing the treble a few decibels, cymbals and other high freq. instruments are more audible and brought forward so that they rejoin the music. Still with the above setting, I feel there was very little "shimmer" in the cymbals making the overall music presentation relatively dull. The bass is quite dramatically increased, but I feel it had a looser feel to it. There is, however, a positive side to this cable. The midrange improved tremendously. The vocals reproduced is quite holographic and mesmerizing. Also, there is a much wider soundstage and increased body with the Truth-Links. Note that all of the above was in comparison to a $30 cable. Both cables were hooked to the dual outputs of my CD player and comparison was done, numerous times on several CDs, by switching the source input on my amp. I would only recommend this cable if you have an extremely and unusually live system because the Truth-Link will knock your high frequencies right out. If the high frequency, in your present system, is making your ears bleed, then by all means buy the Truth-Link. For systems that are a bit laid back, do not have treble control or even neutral sounding, I would definitely stay away from these cables. Similar Products Used: Ultralink Discovery. Strength:
musical, great mids and bass, excellent soundstage and no upper highs harshness
Weakness:
Lacks a bit of clarity in the highs Over the last few months I have been really trying ti get my system to perform at it best. Intially I tried the silver cables, they really did not work in my system, luckly enough I tried the truth links. Intially they were a bit metallic in sound, but after running in became a lot sweater. I mainly listen to prog metal, but have really wide tastes in music. Thankfully in my system they do not lack any sense of dynamics. They do help a lot in the top end, and yes I can hear that this maybe slightly compressed, but for me this is a lot eaiser to live with than the harshness I used to get. In the mid and bass they sound great, have excellent soundstage and no harshness. A great cable for taming those horrible harsh highs. Strength:
Very natural. All you ever need from RCA cables.
Weakness:
Nothing This cables are so solid, and is defently the last thing I will change in my system right now. I borrowed nordost red dawn cables before I bought truth link cables, and I can't realy hear mutch difference. I guess my system is not good enough, but when I tryed the tara labs prism. 22 I heard a lot of difference. Tara labs prism. 22 is a nothing compared to this cables. They sound so natural. They are fantastic. Very good value for money. I use them with Thule CD-player and Mistral amp. My speakers are PSB 5T. I guess a must uppgrade my Speakers to realy hear how good they are. PSB Goldis here I come =) Similar Products Used: Tara labs prism. 22 Nordost Red Dawn |
