Strength:

Look nice, low profile connectors and cable.

Weakness:

Sloppiest construction I have ever seen on a cable.

I bought this cable to link my DVD to the television. As I usually do when buying a new cable, I unscrewed the RCA to check out the quality of the soldering, etc. The first three of the RCAs I looked at were great -- clean solders, nice workmanship, I liked the little clear tube MIT slips over the center conductor. The fourth, however, was a shock. The shield was NOT sodlered to the plug at all! Not a trace of solder there. It was simply stuffed into the crimp part of the plug (were it attaches to the outer jacket of the cable). I have seen sloppy soldering on some other brands, especially cheaper cables, but this was the first time I''d ever seen it look like someone was either too bored or lazy to do his/her job. Very disappointed -- esp. at this price and from MIT, which is supposed to have quite a fine reputation. This video cable was the first of their products I have purchased, and needless to say, I will not be puchasing any more.
