Strength:
Awesome sound. Affordable price. Excellent value factor.
Weakness:
Not too many people know about the difference that this cable makes. I can't say enough about MIT cables. The HTOS, or AVT Optical 2 (as it is now known), blows away the competition. This thing puts the sound back in digital. When tested against my previous Monster ILS-100, the MIT completed destroyed it! And this was out of a PlayStation 2, into a Yamaha RX-V730 digital A/V receiver. The HTOS gave new life to my music, games, and movie sountracks. The soundstage opened right up. The bass was remarkably deep and controlled. Voices had weight and depth to them. Highs were open, smooth, and extremely detailed. So, what's the differene between the MIT, and all other optical cables? First of all, price! it's actually $10 cheaper that the much inferior Monster ILS-100. The real erason, though, is the manner in which the cable is cut, and the precision polishing of its lenses, and the tightness with which the connectors fit. Strength:
MIT name. Sound quality was acceptable .
Weakness:
poor construction , materials , quality control , & assembly . I paid $50 for it which seems to be about as much as you can pay for a Toslink , although there are a few exceptions . Similar Products Used: Straight Wire Toslink |
