I found a good deal on the interconnects: 2 1 meter pairs for 150.00. I couldn't resist, and I must say I'm sort of sorry I didn't.
Prior to bringing in the T2's I was using Kimber PBJ (which is roughly half the price, if you pay full price for the T2).

I knew about the "break in" and didn't expect much at first... but, they sounded downright awful compared to my PBJ's for the first few hours... not very transparent, seemed to smear a bit. They really sounded annoying. I pulled them and hooked them up to my second system assembled from spare components. I let an FM tuner feed the T2 for about 80 hours straight before giving them another listen.

I gave them another try, and liked them alot better. They are serious about the break-in phase. If you own these, make sure they are fully broken in. Still, I thought they added some color to the signal. Female vocals seemed "hissy"... saxes sounded a little nasal... they really aren't very transparent... I had no sense of improved soundstaging, more resolution... I liked the PBJ's better and gave in to my desire to put them back in the system.

I don't think the T2's are terrible... they are probably decent cables, but they don't do what they claim to.

I bought a pair of the T2 speaker cables on sale through Audio Advisor based on the recommendation of a friend (and listening to his systems). Though I was comparing them to admittedly weak cables (high quality, oxygen-free bare wire...Liberty, I think), I found a decent improvement right out of the box from what we affectionately call "the garden hoses". The sound actually deteriorated pretty dramatically for a couple days, then got better and better until it peaked after 2+ weeks of constant break-in (my cat hates that).
For my (formerly) slightly bright system, the hint of added warmth is welcome. Soundstage improved IMMENSELY! The music now appears to extend at least six feet on either side of the speakers, and depth increased almost as much. I also noticed better localization of instruments within the soundstage. Likewise, bass improved in a big way; there was more of it, with better realism and control and less slop. Music sounds more realistic, especially acoustic guitar, vibes and cymbals.

Interestingly, my CSW Ensemble speakers have separate woofer enclosures which are wired separately from the receiver (placed in the corners), and I initially could only afford one set of cables. Therefore, I attached the MITs to the satellite units, which still gave me all of the aforementioned benefits (including bass). I subsequently ordered a second pair of T2s (still can't afford them, but can't afford to pass up the Audio Advisor deal), which are now wired in series from the satellites to the bass modules. The incremental benefits are not nearly as good as with the first set (though break-in is still under way), but I'm already noticing tighter base and slightly clearer mid-range.

Overally, I'm delighted and recommend them for solid state systems.

MIT Terminator 2 Bi Wire:I wished to upgrade my speaker cables. For about 2-3 years I have used had a pair of the least expensive transparent cable. Which were OK, but I thought that this was the weak link in my system- it was! Originally I brought home a pair of Terminator 4's but they did not perform to my liking. The dealer suggested trying the Terminator 2- bi wire.I am extremely pleased.
The wire list was $450. I payed a little less but the sound is to my liking.

First of all, this is the top of the "consumer" line of MIT cables. I don't own this product, but I bought a pair on a 30 day trial period from a local store to try out of curiousity. After I burned them in for most of the 30 days, I sat down and gave them a serious listen. I was not impressed with this product at all. I'd say that the only thing that it has going for it is its bass warmth, though it isn't correct IMO. Overall, this product to me sounds sonically like any other MIT or Monster product out there. Rolled off at the extremes with an overly plump mid bass. I'd say that these cables are highly colored and if you want a nice tone control for your inexpensive gear, their is no need to look any further. I'm not going to give this product the lowest rating because there is worse out there. For my money though, I'd be much happier with something else.

Found that the T2 speaker cables were a great improvement from run of the mill speaker cables. Burn is seems to be very important and listening gets better over time.

Strength:

warm sounding, controlled treble, bass, soundstage

Weakness:

bass come become a bit too much. slight coloration on the mids

This is not a real bad cable if you have a very bright system. Yes, it adds weight to music, but sound is a bit artificial. During my test period, I was using an XRCD audiophile reference IV and the bass seems to be BLOATED at times. Soundstage though was good. At this price range, there are other cables that are good out there. Also, against the transparent cable (also with the box), transparent is better.

Strength:

Bass impact, soundstaging, build,locking rca's

Weakness:

none for $$

My review is for the 1 meter interconnects.
When I first installed the MIT Terminater 2's to replace my Terminater 4's I was worried about the initial sound, lean and an emphasis on the treble region like the tone defeat was turned off and the treble turned up. I placed my Arcam CD72 on repeat with an Eric Kunzel 1812 cd and let it be for a week.
Upon re-evaluation my fears were unfounded. The bass was MUCH better and the treble smoothed out significantly while detail increased a little. The mids are beutifull.
After using MIT cables before I realize that break-in is a real necessity, 75% in performance in 2 days and 100% in 2 weeks, maybe longer than that. The sound is well beyond the speakers and deep as well. Not sure about the claim of "it's as if your amplifier is more powerfull". They are certainly well worth the money when purchased at AudioAdvisor. My local salon has them for way too much money, and I like them greatly but the markup must be phenomenal.
The RCA connectors lock on, nice touch and the interconnects aren't not nearly as stiff as the MIT Digital reference I have. Highly recommended! Value of 5 stars if purchased online, I wouldn't pay retail salon prices. 5 stars overall.
I listened to a lot of newer jazz, older rock and lots of classical.

Strength:

INCREDIBLE BASS IMPROVEMENT @ INCREASED THE VOLUME OF AMP??

Weakness:

None at this price except bulky

WOW! WHAT A DIFFERENCE A CABLE CAN MAKE! WHO WHOULDDA THUNK IT?????????? I bought these from AA after ordering a Set of MIT 330 Interconnects from Usedcable.com. AA charged 120 for the 8ft. pair and 140 for the 12 ft. pair plus $9 shipping and $10 for 4 banana clips. I found out later that usedcable will match the price plus the shipping is free so I ordered my center channel from them. AA would not sell me just one cable so my business goes to Usedcable from now on
These cables made my system sound like I got all new equipment. I have a denon 4800 receiver and Outlaw 750 Amp w/ 5 Wharfedale MFM 7 speakers and 2 Infinity RS 10 speakers. I could not believe that cables would so drastically improve the sound Thought that was all audiophile babble but these cables made a bigger difference in how speakers sound than when I bought the 4800! Made the built in sub on the infinities sound so muuch tighter! The volume level on my receiver does not have to be turned up as much to play as loud??? Go figure that one. I liked the sound so much I bit the bullet and ordered the 12 ft pair to run to my Wharfedales too! Then I bought the single center cable to plug into the wharfedale MFM 7 I laid horizontal on the entertainment center. This has got to be the best upgrade bang for your buck out there. Buy these cables and you will not look back. I LOVE loud tight punchy bass on my rock and Jazz. If you don't look elsewhere and get something real bright and forward sounding like AQ Cables. I Would but hese again & can't imagine how they will improve w/ the BURN IN complete. WOW WHAT A FIND

Strength:

Looks; superb bass definition and weight; revealing of the source (this can also be a drawback on poor recordings); smooth and robust mids; warm, airy sound; non fatiguing top end; ICONN connectors provide a lot of flexibility

Weakness:

None that I've found other than mine took a good 2 weeks to burn in and continued to sound better after 3 weeks of constant burn in (I highly recommend using a break-in disc as I did)

I'd like to start by saying that anyone who says cables don't make a difference in a good system is missing the boat (and the best sound their equipment can serve up). Cables are VERY important, especially if you don't have run-of-the-mill equipment. I also bought a pair of MIT T-2 interconnects that I will also place a review on. In short, using both made a remarkable difference in a system I was already very happy with.

My Tara Labs cables were very good....leaps ahead of the Monster Cable they replaced before them. I have to say, though, that the MIT T-2's take the cake...smooth, laid back sound top to bottom with extraordinary control. Bass has slam and extension, mids have warmth and depth, and highs are natural and airy. They really make my new (4 months old) Magnepan MMG speakers sing. Even movies sound noticably smoother and more refined with these cables. The MIT's improved all aspects of the sound in my set-up. I can also see where these babies would tame a "bright" or "lean" system.

Take the break in instrcutions that come with the cables literally. I was surprised to see a break in period of 2 WEEKS with the instructions. Believe me, even 3 weeks is worth it. The diference from right out-of-the-box to fully broken in is not subtle.

The bottom line...short of my new MMG speakers, the T-2's made a bigger difference in the sound of my system than any other component. Yes, I said component for those of you who feel cables AREN'T components in their systems. Audio Advisor has these on sale for around half-off. My 8 foot pair was 120.00....an absolute steal. Don't wait- get them now before they're gone. Highly, highly recommended.

I demoed these cables last week when I was audtioning a preamp (soon to be the McCormack TLC-1 (Standard)), and needless to say, I was impressed with their sound. Extended highs, a neutral and clear midrange, and tightly extended lows (Did I use these two adjectives in the same sentence?), These could be the cables that could tighten up the lows that I'll be getting from the Vandersteen 2Ce's. They almost do not have a sonic footprint of their own (they do slightly sweeten the top-end, but so what). Nice soundstage with great depth too. And the speaker cables are unusually thick with a nicely designed network box.
All in all, a nice performance-to-price ratio, a lot of good sound without a lot of money.

Suggested Retail Price: Interconnect $120.00/Pr. (One Meter)
Speaker Cable $400.00/Pr. (8 Feet, Bi-Wired).

Four Stars!!
