Strength:
ARTICULATE BASS,VERY SECURE CONNECTION
Weakness:
TURBINE CONNECTION SOMETIMES TO MUCH OF A GOOD THING I USE A 6 METER RUN FOR MY M&K SUB AND THOUGHT IT HAD SOLID AND ARTICULATE BASS. I ALSO GOT A VERY GOOD DEAL ON IT, BUT I CAN'T COMMENT ON IT'S USE AS A FULL RANGE INTERCONNECT DUE TO THE FACT I HAVE NEVER USED IT IN THAT MANNER.SO 4 STARS FOR BASS REPRODUCTION. Strength:
Much Improved sound over "out of the box cables"
Weakness:
cost I have used these cables for a couple years now and I am quite happy with the performance. They add a considerable amount of dynamic range to most CD's especially in the base department. Overall, I consider them an improvement over the generic brand of cables included with most components. |

Strength:
great interconnect for the price.
Weakness:
bass could be a little better, but is still very good. I've used these cables for three years now and they sound great to me.I use them between my home CD player and a headphone amplifier.I would definitely stick with Monster Cable even when I decide to upgrade my interconnects. If these cables sound this good to me,I'm sure the next level up would be excellent. |

Professional look;
Weakness:
cost I just don't understand the negativity about these cables. I also want to note that most of the negativity is coming from those who would claim to be true audio-philes, for what it's worth. While not a true audiophile, I am big home theatre enthusiast. Similar Products Used: Original OEM cables; Radio shack "high-end" cables |

None
Weakness:
Everthing Got to agree with DAX, this is one dog of an interconnect... Sorry I spent a dime on them. I was so sick of them after 3 discs, I took them out of my system, and put in a 15 year Monster cable...don't even know the model. The difference was much more music, period. My system is a CAL CL-15 cd player going to the preamp of a NAD T770 into 4 Marantz MA-500 monoblocs in a bi-amp setup, playing through B&W CDM7SE speakers. I would judge these interconnects as unacceptable in any music lovers system. |

Strength:
exellent entry level cable
Weakness:
people think it is audiophile grade stuff that will work mericals in thier systems this cable is entry level hi end stuff. it is balanced and mostly nutral all they way up the spectrum exept the top. it is very slightly bright. i use them from my pre amp to amp. my equip is parasound. they compliment my equip very well. i get my cables at good guys used for half price and all ready burnt in. NOTE CABLES NEED A BURN IN TIME!!! they sound very different after 12-18 hrs burn in. this cable will not work mericals or correct faults in your system. this cable is for the low to mid high end systems. if you have a "rack" system it seams expensive if you are an extream audiophile it is cheap consumerclass entry level cable. i find that they work very well. the cable is balanced and fast. for digital applications i find them very transparent. for analog i think they are slightly bright. i highly recomend these cables in any application where you budget up to 75$ a pair for inter connects. Strength:
Is a nice solution for those not in the market at present for an actual cd player(non portable).
Weakness:
None at the price. It is strange how the poor reviews of this product feature an abundance of grammar and spelling errors. I purchased this cable so that I could listen to my cd's while I waited for my DVD player to arrive. I really don't know why anyone would expect this particular cable to recreate a symphony in their bedroom. It isn't exactly SACD. I'm pleased with this Interlink. It seems to reproduce vocals well. It seems to send out the right signals to the two front speakers. No complaints here. 24.95 would look better than 29.95, but hey; it's five bucks. |

Strength:
Very neutral sounding cables; nice detail and air; bass sounds quite robust and tight
Weakness:
None I detected. I don't agree with some of the previous posters' negative comments on what they're hearing. I have these cables on all my equipment, and they are a MAJOR improvement over the el cheapo OEM wires that came with some of my stuff. In fact, I am stunned that Monster consumer grade cables can sound so excellent! I am using all older McCormack equipment that was given to me as a graduation present (and what a present!) by my grandfather, and I just wanted to get some good inexpensive cables to start with. These have proved to be as good, if not better than the Kimber PBJ's my best freind Phil lent me just to test my equipment with. The 400MKII's are surprisingly airy with a magnificent soundstage and instrument placement. They sound amply detailed with excellent bass control to boot. Both of us could tell NO difference between these and the PBJ's (which from what I gather are O.K. interconnects to begin with). I must therefore conclude that the 400's, for the measly price of $40 or so for the 1m length, is a very good buy, and Monster is, in some areas, making some real good cables! Strength:
Tighter Bass
Weakness:
Hurt my ears. I bought these for my CD/reciever connect. Tightend up the lower end considerable. The pain I experienced from the upper mids on female voices was intolorable. I tryed the with my headphones, this exaserbated the problem. I also noticed there are very few reviews in print from audiophile press on these interconnects. A very grainy/harsh upper mid range has me looking elsewhere. Similar Products Used: Throwins |
