I've been using Monster Products for about 2 years now. Although, I've read in newsgroups about Monster Products, being over priced, and not worth the money. I personal have to disagree. I use Monster on my DSS, DVD hook ups. Because I'm looking for the best image quailty available. |

The M1000V Silver Video S-VHS Cable certainly improved the picture resolution between my Philips 840 DVD player and my Thomson 46-inch projection TV (100 Hz). I used a cheap RCA cable before that and the picture was grainy and harsh. With the monster resolution improved immediately. Picture noise was 95% eradicated. ( I had wanted to change my RF cable as the next alternative if the picture noise was still there, but the improvement in image from the Monster S-VHS meant I didn't have to bother)What a relief! At this point, the money spent was just worth it. |

Strength:
Great color seperation, Protection, warrentee Overall a great product. Have had no probles with any of my monster cable wires. Just recentally switched from regular monster cables to the M series. Huge improvement. The picture is shape and crisp. The build quility is great, just watch out with the connectors. If you pull to hard you may damage your unit. Well I am not sure how much the cable costs exactly because it was a Christmas gift but I am told that it was around $70. Well let me tell you that I have all monster video cable on my system and I couldn't be more pleased with it. Actually I have around $300 dollars worth of cable including speaker wire. Well the setup of my system is not important except from my DVD player to my TV. I have a S-Video cable that runs from my DVD directly to my TV and a composite video cable that runs from my DVD to my receiver and from the monitor out to my TV. Well I have to say that the difference is huge. I have to take into account that there will be some break up of my composite video because it is running into my TV but not enough to make a difference like I have seen. |

When I bought my DVD player I also purchased a RCA brand S-video cable so I could get a better picture. This cable cost around $18. I noticed that it was in fact better than composite video and I was happy. Until it shorted out and I realized that it was made very poorly. I then ordered a Monster Video 2 cable I think. They give me a slightly lesser cable that ran about $30 until the new one come in. With this cable I noticed another improvement over the RCA brand. When the Video 2 ( at around $45)arrived I hooked it up and took back the lesser Monster cable. Again I noticed a better picture. Finally after living with it for several months I have now moved up again to this cable at around $55. I'm no expert on cables but it just seemed that every price increase made a difference. My advise is to slurge and by what you can afford, it's only a one time purcgase and it does make a difference. After all,you spent all that dough on the Big Screen TV and the DVD player, why not make it look the best? |
