Price compare to his job very good brilliant into placeing the band befor the eyes completely free from the speakers.
100 euro 2 cables 1,1m with connectors, soldered by electricien who has got a diploma urned by Monstercable.
The M1000 is a better cable but more pricy

When soldered wrong it sounds like notting, buy cables from 1,10 meters lenght only, under that lenght the cable can`t make the timecorrection.

Good cable for its price.
Works only from 1,1 meters long under this lenght the cable will not work properly.
It`s a timecorrecting cable so the lenght is very importand.
And i found out there are company`s who makes flukes with connecting the connectors to the cable, very hard to make the connection right.
Every string of the isolated cable has to be cut away AND NOT BURN AWAY.
Only then the cable do his job well i ment Very well

You get what what you pay for, adequacy.

This will not be long. They do the job but there is better out there simply put. I would never consider purchasing these again. They have their moments. I would invest another 50 and get something better than most 50 interconnects to really get some benefits.

JUNK- no more Monster cables for me! I've fallen for Monster's advertising and the fact they are sold everywhere. I gave them the benefit of the doubt after seeing them bashed by many audiophiles in reviews. My system was wired up with mostly Monster cables, including audio and video cables (S-video and component video). Now I am taking all the Monster cables out and replacing them with other brands that sound better, produce a better picture, are better made, and won't damage equipment. Upon closer inspection to one of the pairs of my M550i audio interconnect, one of the ends had the casing cut too far away from the clamp that crimps to the outer casing, so they took a piece of electrical tape and wrapped it around the cable so it would stay attached to the clamp that comes out of the end. I've noticed that Monster cables have a very inconsistent build quality, and the soldering jobs look like they were done by a 10 year old kid in some sweatshop. I've noticed they have started encasing the connections at each end (under the screw-on cover) with clear plastic to beef up the connections so they don't fall apart so easily. All this does is conceal the shoddy soldering job and the fragile connections done with extremely tiny wires. So you have poorly made connections but the RCA ends grip your equipment's jacks with a death grip, leading to possible damage to equipment with less than bulletproof RCA jacks. Even if the jacks are strong enough to avoid being damaged, the cables are often very difficult to remove. I am looking at getting cables with Canare end connectors that have pressure fingers which will snugly grip the RCA jacks without damaging them.

I have found these cables to delliver a very clear and detailed sound with tight bass to boot. I bellive they are the best you can get at this price point.

Good base and well balanced highs and mids for cd connection to amp.Just sounds right.Natural tonality.

Not quite as clean and detailed as some cables due to very slight rounding of treble.

This is my cable of choice with Sony cd and Amp and B+W 305 speakers.
The cable sounds full and detailed and extended in both base and to a lesser extent the treble.
This cable is very quiet, mentioned by other reviewers.
Dynamic contrast is good with m550i.
Considering its price its hard to fault and is an amazing upgrade over free wires.
I use Kimber 4pr to connect the speakers biwired also an excellent cable.
I dont agree with another reviewer that m400ii is a better cable than m550i.M550i definitely has a little more of every thing and above all simply sounds a little better on my system.(Less treble roll off)

The argument over whether a cable makes a difference will go on forever...All I know is that with my setup, Marantz sr780, Marantz CD65SE and B&W 604s I heard a big difference when using this cable...I have used standard RCA, Monster 400, Audio Esoteric Musica 500 and Kimber PBJ...For $50 this is the cable to beat...Having all the old cables still, I did A/B blind testing with 3 seperate people and each time they picked the M550i without any of them knowing a thing about music...You can also read a similar result in Home Theater mag from a year or so ago..Of about 10 or more cables the 550i was picked first by 4 seperate judges...NOw I know some of the is it "mocha or rasberry" people will refuse to use this cable because it is a mass market brand, too bad.... Now to the part that matters, how does the cable sound..The first thing I noticed is a loss of floor noise...I am not sure why or how but the effects of ground hum/floor noise were not nearly as noticable..I have also never heard the clarity of cymbals that I hear with this cable...The mids are very detailed and the bass is tighter....These are the results that all 3 people I tested gave to me..Of course they did not use words like clarity they just said this cable sounded better, they could hear more instruments..The build quality is very solid so for the price I do not think you can do better...

These cables are not bad, nor Im gonna insult anyone who bought them. Howeve, it is mass market. No doubt. I sugest that those thinking in buying Monster, to try high-end brands. The difference will be worth the try. You work hard my friend, your expensive hobby(we all know that) deserves the best. Try Straightwire Chorus II(see my review) at almost the same price, and I garantee that you will ditch your Monsters. The first thing you will notice is how dialogue will sound cleaner and clearer. Bass will go deeper a little bit. Details will pop out. And you will be a happier person.

These are definately not mass market. They are the M series and are not carried by Circuit City or Fry's or Best Buy Blah Bla Blah. They are carried by high end shops. My local Krell (wish I could afford it even though Jeff Rowland stuff is better) dealer carries it (was actually hard to find M series stuff in Arizona) I am now using mine to connect the A/V Pre-Amp to my VCR, since I bought Kimber Hero, then DH Labs Silver Sonic BL-1 II's ( the best bang for the buck! well even not for the buck they kick butt). I would give the M550's 4 stars for sound. But because of the excellent price and to offset the Moron before me (come on a 1? they desrve at least a 3 star rating even if you are an idiot who buys $400-$1,400 interconnects) I will give them 5 Stars. I just bought what would seem to be an inexpensive set up given the reviews on this site. NAD 712 receiver, 523 CD player, and PSB Stratus Bronze speakers. On the reccomendation of the dealer I got Monster Cable along with everything. I have had the system about two weeks now, and today out of boredom I decided to blind test the monster 550i against the cheapo RCA cable that came with the CD player. I could not reliably pick one cable over the other as better. If anything, I more often disliked the sound of the monster. So, never having compared Monster to something more expensive, my opinion is don't waste money on Monsters. Use the free ones.
