Strength:

White in color great interconnect!

Weakness:

None

I purchased a B&K preamp and amp needed some cables to run the subs. I cant believe how clean the cables made the subs sound. They had to be turned way down with all the details finally coming through! If you have subs that need connection through RCA use this product!!

Strength:

Cable quality

Weakness:

Price

I've been building my home theater for the past year. I just recently upgraded my speakers to the Atlantic Tech 350 THX with one sub (prior to these speakers, I had no sub). I've never used cheap cables basically because my friends always told me buying good cables was worth the money, so I listened.

As far as comparing this cable to others, I can't do that, except to say this cable feels good, not flimsy like the cheap ones. Since I haven't listened to the subwoofer with a cheap cable, I can't offer a comparison. But when you spend thousands on speakers, spending $40 on a good subwoofer cable just makes sense.

Strength:

y-adaptor, looks, component grounded, thx-certified

Weakness:

y-adaptor piece is a littel long

neede a long run to place my sub. puchsed at amazon. the cable is nice. bass is smooth. the y-adaptor for me is required for my sub (cerwin vega hts15). i was using a radio shack gold cable set that had rca adaptors on it. the long run of 24 ft was too long and the bass would get muddie and distorted. the monster cable in my case made a huge difference.i use alot of monster cables and also acoustic reserch cables and the old "rca home theater" brand which are no longer made. all of these cablse sound great over the ones in the box. DRASTICLY better. monster makes a great product, and i have used them for years. and i will continue to do so.

Strength:

none when compared to cheaper cable

Weakness:

too expensive

I originally bought this cable because of the reviews on this website. Don't be fooled by thinking that this cable is superior to others due to price. I swapped the Monster cable with a Radio Shack Gold video cable and there was no difference and the RS cable is $50.00 cheaper.

Strength:

Looks mean and robust. Has superficial appeal.

Weakness:

People afflicted with the big-is-better syndrome. Waste of money.

Tried it on my M & K MX sub (a very good sub), noticed no real difference. I think wanting everything bigger and badder is an American phenomenon (bigger guns, thicker tanks, more powerful bombs, etc.). I would confess that if most people placed their subs more than 100 feet away from the receiver, a thicker cable might make a difference. But we don't. So do yourself a favor, invest the money you plan to spend on cables on better speakers. That is, the difference you'll sense between a $200 and a $300 sub is more than what you can ever convince yourself to believe in the difference made by expensive cables. -- And that's the bottom line.

Strength:

Good Shielding, Paintable

I picked up 8 meter Monster subwoofer cable from Myer Emco for $59.99 I needed a long enough cable to run across the room to my sub with enough shielding to prevent any interferences. This cable definitely served right.

Prior to this I had my sub connected using the cable that the sub came with. Sub was placed near electrical outlets of my components since I did not have long enough cable. The sub hummed when the preamp was off. Also, it would never turn itself off, it seemed as the sub was getting feed from somewhere. I decided to stick to my original plan to move the sub to the back of the room. I needed at least 23 foot run. 8 meters are about 26 feet, so I got the Monster 8 meter sub cable, moved the sub across the room. Voila! Problem solved! No more humming, sub would turn itself off when not in use.

This cable provided enough shielding for the long cable run, the bass sounded tighter. I am happy with the purchase.

Strength:

Tremendously improved bass response of system, good solid construction, connectors.

Weakness:

None I can think of.

I have had my JBL PSWD-112 for about 3 months now and have really liked it. I had it connected via. 12 gauge cable from receiver to SW then SW to main speakers. After reading reviews of the Monster SW cable I broke down and purchased it. I could not believe the diff. it made ! My subwoofer came alive in a fashion I didn't know previously possible ! The bass is much lower and cleaner. I had to turn down the volume setting on the SW. It is like having a new subwoofer !

I highly reccomend the product.

Strength:

tightened bass

Weakness:

none that i could see

i was skeptical at how much a cable could improve the bass of my powered sub(polk psw120). but after reading the reviews at this sight, i purchased one and was amazed at how much better the sub sounds. it has more bass and sounds awesome. i had to turn the volume down on the reveiver sub out, because of how much more bass is present.

Delivers incredible bass

Weakness:

Pale white color

Recently bought an Infinity BU-120 sub, and was using just a regular Monster RCA cable. Wasn't satisfied with the bass I was getting, so I picked up this cable. I hooked it up to the sub, and put in The Replacement Killers DVD, and the opening scene nearly took all the pictures off the wall! This cable is cheapest way to increase bass in your current system.

Strength:

Tightened Response

Weakness:

Price?

I read the other reviews, and experienced similar improvements. I'm currently using an Infinity BU-2 sub that has sounded muddy since the day I got it.

I got the 20 ft. cable at BestBuy for $50 +tax. The cable definitely tightened the response and allowed the SW to blend-in better with the other speakers. I was able to turn up the volume and frequency a bit while still maintaining the tightness.

To the casual listener, I'm not sure that you'll want to throw $50 at this. However, if you like your audio equip., it's worth it, you'll notice the difference.
