Amazing!!! I just bought the cables (not terminated) for $2.50 per foot at 6th Ave. Never expected that speaker cables could make so much difference in a system. I just hooked these cables up last night and this speaker cable really made my speaker "sing". I now hear every bit of "detail" not only that just like what the other person said it sounds much crisper. Everything sounds just right "pretty smooth" if i may say, i guess that's what the "Time Corrected" suppose to be. It probably took me an hour to figure how to strip these cables.....:)....(You'll what i mean when you see one) but anyway it's well worth it. I definitely recommend and consider to buy a Z series cable the next time around...You guys won't be dissapointed |

Strength:
Very, very detailed sound. Nice and warm. Tighter Bass and extremely accurate with music. Actually noticed.
Weakness:
expense is not a weakness. You will look at these and hear them to find out that there can't be any. Well I bought a 10' pair. Hooked em up really easily with the banana connectors to the binding posts and listened to some music and played some DVDs. Similar Products Used: Radio Shack 14 guage, RCA 16 guage. |

Strength:
Adds incredable snap to the bass, cleaner mids & highs, gold end connectors.
Weakness:
None noticed so far. I purchased this cable before anything else in my new system. (I had to wait for it to arrive.) I almost had second thoughts about buying new equipment after the cables were installed on the old set up! It was one of the best ideas I have had for my stereo. Please note that I also added the Monster Interlink Reference II patch cables at the same time. It was obviously was the combination of the two that helped. I was a bit of money in the end for the whole ensemble, but after sinking a lot more into the electronic components it only made sense. The connectors fit nice, not too tight that they scratched the gold and not too loose that I was afraid they would fall out. Nice stuff. I recommend these cables for anyone with standard (copper wire with clear plastic coating) wire. No matter how large the diameter. Similar Products Used: Cheap spool wire for 25 years! What a mistake! |

Highs, vocals, bass, detail, construction
Weakness:
Seems pricey(but at the cost of replacing an audio component)it's not. These speaker cables could make you change your mind about replacing a component in your system. Using an Onkyo 575x receiver, a Sony 300 disc cd player and JBL HLS810 speakers on the front; I felt that music was just okay. I knew it was not the receiver because before the 575x I didn't listen to 2 channel stereo because the Sony receiver I replaced didn't have the detail and smoothness of the 575x so I used the Sony dsp's. none 10 yrs ago i owned the m1 cables at 360.00 15 ft pair--sold system last yr--put together home theater system -used standard monster on new system but i knew there was a diff--kept gnawing at me so i went and bought z1- 25 ft off the spool-added my own fittings- and hoped i wouldnt be disappointed--and i wasnt!!!!!--speakers now are the infinity rs5000--superb but emits were a little harsh in my small 12x14 room--the z1 fixed that--now have the smooth velvety sound i had with the kappa 8 and m1-bass i cant tell cause i have an il100 sub--truly a great cable--dont you believe for a second anyone telling you you cant hear a diff on cables--thats a lot of bunk!!! i went from lamp cord to monster standare cable and heard a diff--and up the monster line-there IS a sound diff--now whether you LIKE the diff is up to you--if your thinking of upgrading CHEAP cables to this one--you wont go wrong --OR return them--but buy off the spool--a LOT cheaper Similar Products Used: standard monster cable |

Strength:
Tight, well defined bass. Slightly rolled off treble.
Weakness:
depending on your speakers, rolled off highs. With my Monitor Audio 9i speakers, the D.H. labs q10 was much too bright sounding. The q10 is a good cable, just not with very transparent speakers. Next I tried the Monster Z2 bi-wire. The bass was much improved but the treble was very rolled off, even with my bright sounding speakers. Since the much cheaper Monsters sounded better with my speakers I decided just for fun to try the even less expensive Z1 non bi-wire. After hooking these up I was surprised that they had the same good bass of the z2 bi-wire plus a much better, more open treble. So after starting with $300.00 cable, I found the best match for my speakers with the $75.00 Monster Z1. Similar Products Used: D.H Labs silver sonic q10, Monster z2 bi-wire |

Strength:
seperation of instrument's,wide open soundstage, exellent sense of timing, good bass
Weakness:
none at this price Let's make this short and sweet. The monster Z1 speaker cable is a great buy,and is one of the best at it's price-range,and even better than many costlier cables.I was really impressed that these cables out performed my trusty Mit wires that cost 3x as much.I previously thought Mit's had the best bass out there, but the Z1's bass was equal, also the midrange was better with the Z1,and seperation was also superior with the Z1,the Mit's have a more detailed high end though.Dont be fooled by the series of cables, the Z series,M series, and the studio prolink are all the same wires inside, with different jacket's on the outside(neat trick to appeal to entry, high, pro level consumers). All in all these are great speaker cables that deserve a couple of hours break-in.I dont work for monster, check out my previous review's on the Mit Terminator 3's. Strength:
Well Balanced Cable, crisp highs, tight lows
Weakness:
10ft length......if you have short run ofcourse This cable is well constructed, thick, and offers exceptional sound quality. Although placement, room acoustics, interconnects, amplifier, and DA coversion along with speaker wire amount to the quality and clarity of sound you get, i believe this wire offers a better overall sound than any other 12 gauge, like mentioned above. Bass notes are defined, tight, and flood the room with like a wave vibrating the floor. Whats great about the cable is, is acenuates in no area. Treble, Mid-range, and the Lower bass are all natural and equally dispersed. When a guitar is being played, when the cymbols crash, when drums hit, it all feels very real and natural, and not like its being played through speakers. The localization of instruments is excpetional and subtle sounds or backround instruments are heard clearly. This cables are great, but placement and room acoustics should be the number one priority. It wouldn't matter if you had these hooked up to B&W 601 S3 or Paradigm Studio 20's.. if the room acoustics areawful and the placement is also, the sound generated is going to be bad. Everything combined is responsible for great sound, not just speaker wire. Similar Products Used: Monster XP, AR cable, Home Depot 12 gauge, Radio Shack 12 gauge |
