Strength:
Solid construction and great sound.
Weakness:
You have to buy the tips seperately if you get the Monster Lock system. I had hear the difference between the Original Monster and the Z1 speaker cables and was impressed but didn't think the Z2 would give me that much more but I was wrong. the Z2 gave me improved bass response and the treble seemed to clean up. For the money, paying extra for the Z2 is worth it. By no means is my system anywhere close to reference standard, I just have some crappy KLH speakers with a Sony receiver but I could immediately tell the difference when I went to the Z series cable. The only drawback I saw when I first bought the cables is that you had to get the tips seperately but now that I look at it that is a good idea in case I upgrade to a higher quaility setup that uses different connections. Moving from radioshack shit cable that i borrowed from my dad, this wire made big improvements. The soundstage suddenly opened up and I was able to here the lowened of my b&w 601 s2's. The bass was punchy and well controlled and the highs were smoother than ever. great cable.I will be able to enjoy it more once i get a better cd player instead of my dvd player. I am thinking of the Rotel rcd-51 any suggestions? e-mail me |
