Sabotage! To the guy below - of course the rat shack cable works as well as the monster, they both transmit signal don''t they? the signal the monster transmits is much more pleasant to listen to than the radio shack - that''s the distinction to make. All the adjectives I''d use to describe this cable have been mentioned by the first two guys and in the Monster M2.2 review. The Z3 is a M2.2 with more shielding and an improved dielectric. it''s definitely at least as good as any other cable you''ll find (that i''ve tried) in it''s price range. Deaf ears should not be passing judgment on audio equipment. Similar Products Used: Cardas Twinlink, various Kimber and Monster cables. |

Strength:
Incredible soundstage depth/width, imaging. Very clean, neutral sound, low noise. I have always been a believer that good quality interconnects and speaker cable can make a difference in a systems sound but at the same time I have been somewhat skeptical about how much you have to spend to get improved sound quality. At $299 for a 10ft pair the Z3's are by no means cheap but what a difference they made in my system. Prior to the Z3's I was using standard 10 gauge Monster "zip cord" speaker cable. The Z3's pass a fantastic soundstage, very deep and wide. Imaging is just incredible, you can pick out each instrument very clearly. Highs are crisp and free of grain. If you like deep, tight bass you will love these cables. I can hear so much more musical information through these cables that I have found myself going back through my CD collection to enjoy the improvement. These cables come with the Monster Lock connectors which work pretty well. The cables are terminated with threaded pins and you can screw on spades, bananas, etc. The only possible drawback to these cables has nothing to do with sound. They are thick and somewhat inflexible. You have to have pretty heavy duty five way binding posts to accommadate these cables. I love these cables. |

Strength:
soundstage is great ,more dynamic sound, clean and clear and nothing harsh about it. I bought A pair Of 15 foot Z3 cables and A 10 footer for my cener chanel speaker looking for an impoovment in my systems sound. Well they shore as hell did. I noticed A new sound field that made everyting sound fuller, deeper or dynamic with A focused detailed sound that I call A soundstage. Wow ,I never heard instument or vocal placement like this before. And as they ran on my system for A few days the soundstage depth and with improoved with A scence of air around each instrument. The Z3 cables added nothing wrong to my system but only opened up my ears and wallet to A thing called audiophile. Strength:
The Z cable certainly has a nice wrapping that will impress your friends. Monster is also kind enough to include a carrying case with your purchase, which makes returning the cables quick and easy.
Weakness:
Its grossly overpriced.
