These cables are fantastic!Perviously I had Supra Ply 3.4, vandanHul CS122 and Audioquest Crystal.
The Nordost flatline Gold (admittingly about twice as expensive) is so much better it really transformed my system. Clear treble, without harshness, much more space, separation and dynamics, and most important, now I hear real musicians making real music. On my system (Cyrus II=PSX, AH Tjoab Cdplayer, big Vifa threeway DIY) this is the best thing I ever blought.

Nordost flatline gold is excellent stuff for the price but needs careful matching. Some of the adverse comments may be due to incorrect matching & ordinary gear. Should not match with thin sounding and bright gear. Instead matched with warm sounding stuff can produce some of the most liquid sounding treble. If you have lazing sounding gear (ie treble units) this is the answer. Bass is weak, but doubling up the cable can make huge improvement in bass, mid & soundstage.

Some of the other cables I used like Axon is very good as it has more bass/mid but less treble & warmer sounding which actually suits my current speakers (DIY Scanspeak Proac Response 2.5 copies with Revelator tweeters). But on my old Proac 2.5 the NFLG was better. If you really want to go cheap experiment with ordinary electrical house cable, you may be very surprised, though ultimately not as good.
