I purchased Missing Links for use with my Rotel integrated and found them to make one of the most audible improvements I have ever heard. For the $30.00 that these little guys retail for you would have thought that I bought a new amp.Other equipment in the system: Rega Planet, B&W DM601 speakers, TARA interconnects and speaker cables. |

I had never heard of these until I stumbled on these reviews while browsing this site. Like Frank,I also run the Bryston B60 in my system, and because they seemed to work so well for him,I figured it was worth $30 to see if I could get similar results. I have to agree, they make a definite audible improvement in the sound quality over the stock jumpers! For the money,I would consider them to be a must-have upgrade with this amp. I am using Tara Reference Gen II from my Rega Planet to the B60,and have my B&W CDM 7 SE's bi-wired with RSC 500 Prime speaker wire, also by Tara. When I asked my local Tara dealer about The Missing Link,I got a blank stare. He had never heard of them, and could not find them in his catalog. Anyway,he called Tara and ordered them for me,along with a pair for the shop to demo. He was so impressed with them, that he now keeps a supply in stock, and recommends them with all the integrateds he sells. |

I have to agree that the construction could be better. But the improvement in sound is quite remarkable. For 30 bucks its a steal. |

Strength:
tonality, air & soundstaging, bass, music delivered with greater impact (compared to those metal U-bars)
Weakness:
bass (again!), lack of speed, coloration this short cable is a relatively inexpensive upgrade from those metal U-bars supplied with the pre-out-main-in amps. |

Having let these jumpers burn in and having used them with different speakers, I feel that they do improve the sound of my Bryston B60 in some respects, but do have some deficiencies. The main benefits are that they widen and fill in the soundstage and push it forward--the music fills the room much better. They also makes the highs clearer and crisper--cymbals, for instance, sound much more realistic and lively. On the negative side, I found that they make the overall sound excessively airy and delicate. I felt there was a loss of bass. I kept convincing myself that my ears were just playing a trick on me because the highs were more extended, but every time I went back to the metal U jumpers I became convinced that the Tara jumpers were weakening the bass. Hard to say for certain. These comments should be taken in context, since I'm currently using a ridiculously long run of Audioquest Type II speaker cable. It might just be a case of bad cable matching. Anyway, both of my Tara jumpers are currently broken--one too many attempts to remove them. Fortunately, the company is friendly and helpful. Somewhere down the road I'm going to try making a jumper out of silver cable to see how that compares. Anyway, at 30 bucks the Missing Link are a relatively risk free investment, provided you don't plan on removing them. |

Strength:
More clearer and more detailed.
Weakness:
Very fragile. It makes improvement in the sound of music. But the jumper lowered the volume. Once you replace it,it's very hard to remove. For $25 it's worth a try. |

Strength:
Added detail, clarity, transparency
Weakness:
I hate to say none, but I can't think of any Here's my story, I bought them, I put them in, I heard an instant imrovement that was very pleasing to me... the lingering of voices and notes, the sense that they were hanging in the air. That's enough for me. Similar Products Used: None |
