Accuphase DP-75V CD Players

Accuphase DP-75V CD Players

DESCRIPTION

The onboard processor of the DP-75V features a revolutionary MDS (Multiple Delta Sigma) converter with superb 24-bit precision. This ensures ultra low distortion and outstanding signal-to-noise ratio. Digital inputs allow the routing of external digital sources through the converter of the DP-75V, for playback of any format source with exceptional sound quality. To ensure future upgradability, the unit has option board slows that support ADB 2 (Accuphase Digital Bus 2) interfaces which accommodate SACD and DVD-Audio.

Strength:

Big relaxed sound.
Bass,bass,bass to die for.
Detail is there in spades.
Soundstaging which is layered.
Love it for acoustics, jazz, male and female vocals.

Weakness:

I miss the warmth of my old Capitole

Unbelievable build quality, silent opening and closing of CD-tray mechanism, heavy as a tank and beautiful to look at as it's in champagne gold, they don't make it like this anymore for other makes, well Marantz used to do, but not anymore.
The sound is to die for, easily the finest and best one box CDP Accuphase has made, and on par with other top notch CDP in the world, even six years out. I'd love to see a head to head match between this CDP and the feted others like Wadia 861, Reimyo, Esoteric X-01, X-03. Love it.

Strength:

Very big sound, without being lush. It is sexy, forward and right-up-front. Great if you listen to a lot of live recordings and jazz. I am sure the DP-75V delivers for other music types as well.

Weakness:

can't find one. the voicing in the unit are less foucsed than my other player combo which is based upon the Elgar Plus-Purcell

This is the finest one box player I have ever heard in my system.
