Strength:

Sound - very detailed and warm.
Nice remote control

The Denon 1015 cd-player was launched in the fall of 1994, not 1995 as stated by another reviewer - put in another way: I bought it in october 1994.

The price was 3000 DKK - appr. $400.

I've had a 1015 since 1995 and it is far to light for me. The midrange is ok and so even the bass but the treble screams. It almosts hurts and the sound can be very annoying in the length, definitely a bad background music player, it is far from relaxed. The player also have problems to sepatare instruments. Example: Nick Cave - Staggar Lee, when the treble breaks free. The instruments seems like a floating mass. Very annoying, especially when the treble hurts at the same time. It is very hard to hear what is going on, really, *smile* Well, Daft punk sounds good, but what the hey, it sound good on enything. *smile* I've tested the player direct against a pair of Audiopro A4.14 Zero active speakers, and with a Quad 44 preamplifier inbetween. Cables used: Supra EFF-ISL interconnectors.
