Strength:
It's good, it has bpm counters, the start and cue you expect from a denon dj cd player and it has 2 hot start points / player, easy to make loops. It has a sampler for each player. it also has a 'master tempo' called 'key' what makes the pitch sound more normal. But...
Weakness:
The key function is no perfect. It sounds - pushing the pitch a bit, with 'key' on so you wouldn't hear helium vocals, a bit pumpy on some records. As I tried to say before, the effects use simular button as you use for normal playback. If you use the right button in the wrong menu... playback stops. I own a DN 2000 and bought the DN 2600 in a shop for a nice price. I got it out of the shop, it's was a demo cd player. I 'm a pro dj and I use one in a dancing. I liked it so much I just had to have one for myself at home. It is fast and reliable. I like to tap a button : it counts the bpm's. It has a lot of effects but I don't need them for my public, and if I could I still wouldn't. the effects are not good enough, because they must be controlled by buttons you would use for other things. The player in the dancing is recently replaced: the disctrays didn't open enough to enter a cd. I'm sure it's because it's abused by pushing the tray to close it... I would buy mine again. For my own disco, I 'm about to replace my DN 2000 with a DN 2100. I like to jump to 1 minute of a track, what is easy with all the new denon cd players with the scrollwheel the price I paid are in EURO = $ at the moment) Similar Products Used: DN 2000 (MkI !) |
