Used in Conjunction with the HK3250 receiver and B&W 302,A newbie to Hifi, all I can say is I love the sound. After listening to similar products CD Players from Musical Fidality and marantz. This was the combo I chose for my Bedroom System.
All up costing Aust$1,600. I didn't pay too much did I?

Upgraded from Technics 5-disc rotater, i bought this unit for $400 1,5 years ago. Sound is excellent although the high does tend to get harsh, this could very well be the crappy sound on some lowbudget cds of course. The peak search option is crap, i almost always stumble upon a section where the peak is higher than the search found. Also, the time option doesn't allow you to see how much of the cd you've already listened to in total which is weird, i mean, when you can check the total time remaining, song time remaining and song time elapsed, why not cd time elapsed?? But ok, that's not the worst problem here, the worst being that several of my cds can't be played, the player doesn't seem to find the index at the beginning, aarrghh!! Oh, one more thing that really nags, the search button (to skip to halfway into a song for example) only has one (!) speed, this SUCKS if you wanna skip the first 10 minutes of a very long song..5 stars for sound, 2 for abovementioned..3.5 average, ok, i'll give 4 stars.
