I HONESTLY THOUGHT ABOUT THIS....NONE!

IT SKIPS ALL THE DAMN TIME.. EVEN ON BRAND NEW DISC's straight from the record store.

I'M BACK, AND JVC NEEDS TO APOLOGIZE FOR PUTTING OUT CRAP LIKE THAT! i gave it about 9 months, some days were better than others, but it was always something. i mean those times when you really feel like BUMPING, that damn thing would show it's ASS. i tried everything! i cleaned the lense, i cleaned my disc everywhich way possible, i bought all kinds of products...NOTHING. i finally gave up, just to much frustration. if you gave it away the unlucky recipient would phone you to curse you out. the reason REVIEWS were so hard to find on that DAMN thing. is because nobody had anything GOOD to say about it. PLEASE SAVE YOUR TIME & MONEY...NOT TO MENTION YOUR PATIENTS.

it doesn't automatically tell you what disc is playing, other than that NONE.

now i'm posting this to try and help the next guy or gal out. i found it real difficult to get any info on this player. this will be this sites first post. i've had it a couple of weeks and i'm not sure yet, but it may be a little sensitive as far as playing dirty discs, but once you clean them you have no problems. i'm not sure that's completly true (the sensitive comment) because my discs could be the problem. my old player had been acting up for some time and they weren't really stored properly (bread bag), so i'm working on cleaning them now, but the ones i have cleaned (with tissue) play great. it plays dubbed discs with no hesiitation too. my bass doesn't make the player jump either. that's always a plus, right? my system be bringing it too :-). i'm pretty satisfied. i priced it brand new for anywhere from $169 to $180. i got mine for $88.00 off of ebay, supposedly gently used, so i have no complaints. i personally think it's cool. i recommend it. if i run into any problems later i'll update this post.
