Strength:
Nice features.
Weakness:
Unit failed to play Track 01 on 5-10% of my CD's. On occasion, it failed to recognize entire CD's. Unfortunately, I have had a very bad experience with this model. I returned the unit to an authorized Kenwood service center. Kenwood's response was that the problem was due to poorly manufactured CD's (something about tolerances on the size of the hole in the middle of the CD). Meanwhile, all the CD's in question play without fail on six other CD players in my home (I have two teenage sons, so we have portables, a boom box, a shelf unit, etc.) I think I have a defective unit. The store where I bought it agrees with me. They are taking it back and I will be buying a Sony. I am very disappointed in the way I was treated by Kenwood. Consequently, they have lost my business. For these reasons I am unable to recommend buying the 324M. Similar Products Used: None |

Strength:
Easy to use, quiet, able to play music by categories
Weakness:
A little slow changing discs on random, but it has a lot of discs! Also, it does not let you change the name of user-defined categories. This product is not much bigger than my 5 disc changer and it holds 200! It is very easy to use (takes some time to type in CD names, but not too bad) and lets me pick a category and play just those discs on random. Sounds great. Looks great. Easy to use (although stunningly basic) remote. I would recommend a Kenwood megachanger! Similar Products Used: Kenwood 5 disc changers, technics magazine players, sony, etc. |

Strength:
Price, reliability.
Weakness:
A little slow to change between discs when playing all discs on random On reading the other reviews it would seem to me that experiences with mega changers leave a lot to luck. When they go wrong they go very wrong, discs skip, some aren't played at all, and units end up being returned. This was my experience with the JVC334 which I returned twice and then gave up on. I finally went with the Kenwood, which is another 100 bucks cheaper. The Kenwood has so far been flawless and I have no complaints. Maybe the sound quality is not quite up with the JVC, but all the discs play without a skip, and random play seems to give all the discs a fair hearing. This is probably the best value piece of audio/video equipment I have ever bought. I haven't entered all the track titles yet, I'm still in the "settling in" period, but so far all the signs are good. Similar Products Used: JVC MC334-BK |

Strength:
Nice design ( a lot smaller than my old SONY 100 disc player). Lots of characters available for entering titles.
Weakness:
A tiny bit slow, and it detects discs each time you turn it on (my old Sony didn't do this). When you pause, a slight "click" (very very minor) is heard from time to time. Great product, especially given the price. I have an old Kenwood receiver, and love it. This CD player makes me appreciate Kenwood all over again. Sounds seems just as good as my Sony (if not better). Similar Products Used: Sony CPX-151 |

Strength:
Easy to set up and use, once we figured out that you need the coaxial connection to the receiver.
Weakness:
None that we've found. I have a hunch that as convenient as the title programming will be, it could be even more convenient -- hence the 4 not 5 stars. Minor quibble. We're totally happy with this unit so far. The convenience of having our entire CD collection sitting in the player is amazing. We're still working on setting up the registrations. Sounds great running through our VR-309 receiver using Mirage FRx-Center, FRx-Rear dipole Surrounds, 8" FRx-S8 Subwoofer and FRx-Three bookshelf Fronts http://www.miragespeakers.com/ speakers. Cost C$199 locally. Similar Products Used: Never had anything greater than a Sony 5-CD player from 9 yrs ago. |

I was wary of purchasing a Kenwood product, but this changer has treated me well over the past year. |

Strength:
Awesome playability..will play even horribly damaged CD, the cataloging of different CD's by type is good too (IE: This cd is Rock, this is New Age..this is Country..etc) and the 200disc capacity is nice for us people with too many CD's :)
Weakness:
None without nit-picking...I'd like to be able to program entire disc(IE..disc 1,2,6,88) and then do diff play modes on them..but, you can't. The 32 song program doesn't seem up to par for a 200disc CD changer. Cheap, and damn good. Kenwood is a great company, it loads fast for such a large capacity changer, it'll play non-stop..forever. No problems. Music classification is good as well (Country, Rock..etc). Similar Products Used: None worth mentioning. |
