Strength:

sound, sound, sound

Weakness:

skips sometimes

To update my previous review: yes it skips sometimes if the cd has some scratches ; I guess the "error correction" is not the best around ; anyway always happy with this one !

Strength:

clear sound, good display, nicely styled, good remote

Weakness:

no track remaining display (only entire disk remaining), lacks features like program etc..., no standby mode.

Now i'm no expert so i'll just keep this brief for the ppl who don't know much about techniqualities.

I like the C520 for the quality it gives out, i can now hear every error in all my cd's (is that a good thing :). and it has a good lcd display which is viewable from most angles and from far away. the negatives for it are that it's a base model cd player. if your someone like me who upgraded from a mini system with all the features you tend to miss them with this cd player, but don't worry i have no regrets getting rid of that akai :) .

the features i miss are , track remaining display (it does however have a total disc remaining time), and no standby mode so that i can't turn it on with the remote!. not a big thing but i don't see why this feature isn't included.

all in all i'm extreemly happy with this player ...

ps: i payed $300 australian for this cd player but that translates into $us600 since our doller just went down the toilet :).
