Strength:
Great sound, simple design. I've got the RCD-955AX, what I assume must be the same device. It is a great CD player -- warm and gentle -- and it hasn't missed a beat in 8 years of constant use. It is without a doubt the best $500 I've ever spent on audio gear. |

Strength:
Unreal sound, Uncluttered design
Weakness:
No power on remote I've owned the NAD 513 for 8 years and have been happy with its performance but it was definitely time for an upgrade. I wanted a changer that could still produce pleasing sound rivaling high end single players. I listened to all the changers I could find and none even came close to this one. The attack and dynamic sound are unreal(especially percussion) and the highs are clerly extended and quick. The sound is very rich and you can clearly hear the depth of the recording (positioning of the instuments). This changer can improve the sound of any setup!! Strength:
smooth yet detailed presentation. Very warm and musical
Weakness:
the tray mechanism is unreliable The biggest quality of the RCD-955AX is that it's dacs were listened to. I have heard many dacs that were supposedly higher quality, but this gives a warm, smooth, musical sound with great imaging and clarity. |
