Strength:

none

Weakness:

Flat boring sound.

Auditioned this with the A30.1 integrated and Acustik-Lab Melody Triple. Very disappointing because of the constrained sound. Perhaps the worst part is the cheap looking CD holder. Bad, bad...

Strength:

Nice sound, good looks

Weakness:

Lacks a bit of sparkle

I bought this machine half a year ago and I must say it was a considerable upgrade to my former CD player from NAD. The D20 is really a great looker and its minimalist design will undoubtedly appear attractive to many people.

Soundwise it is on the soft side being able to mellow out harshness when required, but it can sound a bit lifeless at times. It is a quite revealing player which thrives on good recordings and will reproduce any kind of music with equal ease.

On the downside, some may think it lacks a bit of sparkle and the CD drwaer is very, very slow
