Well, I have to admit when I purchased this Teac PD-D2500 for the little money I paid I didn't expect very much! But to my surprise It sounds fantastic. JFK the only thing I can say to you is you must have a defective one or you hooked it up wrong! The separation is just great, very clear and noise free no matter how loud I turn the volume. I have a top of the line Sony single player and it sounds as good and possibly better, it is a toss up! Thanks Teac!

For the money the TEAC is a terrific buy. I couldn't be more satisfied with its performance/price ratio.

The PD-D2500 is an excellent CD player, I originally purchased it as a party player so I wouldn't have to get up and change my single Mac CD player all the time and could enjoy myself more! To my amazement I couldn't believe the sound quality of this unit and the separation was breath taking. I guess technology has come along way and for a small amount of money? JFK you need to check your connections and if they are ok, I would return it to where you purchased it to have it repaired or replaced, maybe it got damaged during shipping! My Teac sounds awesome!

I must say I was surprised that the great performance of this Teac CD player, especially for the price it was a great bargain. I have first class Stereo equipment in just about every room in my very large home and purchased this CD player for my exercise room just to have something to listen to while working out! Thanks Teac!
