Strength:
Sounds good.
Weakness:
Manual inadequate. Somewhat confusing to use at first. Drawers flimsey. I must warn anyone purchasing a CD recorder for recording their own material that you cannot make digital copies of your own copies. Apparently SCMS records data on the recorded disk does not examine the source material for a copyright bit but assumes all discs are copies of commercial discs. Therefore I cannot make digital copies of the discs I made for that purpose. This was the primary reason I purchased the deck. Can I assume the analog specs (2-20,050 Hz) will hold up under 4 X speed? Probably not. So in addition to not making digital copies of my own copies, I will have to do it at regular speed, thereby negating 2 of the primary reasons for my purchase. Similar Products Used: none |

Strength:
Records fast, simple to use, audio sounds great
Weakness:
None I have used this to record everything. CD to CD, MD to CD, Records to CD, Tapes to CD, etc. Never had a problem with the unit... not a one. What can I add other than this is a reliable unit, and superior to all other recorders that I have tried. I look forward to the CDR30 w/ the HDCD decoder and mp3 capability. If HK has put out a bad unit as some people have described then I must've got lucky because my unit works fantastic. I don't even like HK products, but I really thought this was a great CDR.
